MONROE - No injuries were reported during a one-vehicle accident at about 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2 in the 1500 block of 13th Avenue. Shannon R.V. Wittmann, 16, Brodhead, was driving when her vehicle slid off the road and struck a guide wire for a utility pole. There was moderate damage to the vehicle.
Anthony J. Sink, 16, Monroe, was cited for failure to yield right of way following a two-vehicle accident at about 11:45 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2 at the intersection of 12th Avenue and 11th Street. Sink hit a vehicle driven by Kenneth L. Gratz, 42, Monroe. No injuries were reported and there was severe damage to the vehicles.

MONROE - No injuries were reported during a one-vehicle vs. deer accident at 12:41 a.m. Friday, Feb. 1 on County E, north of Zwiefel Road, in the Town of Brooklyn. David N. Patchen, 31, Albany, was southbound on County E when he hit a deer on the driver's side of the truck he was operating. The vehicle had moderate damage and it was driven from the scene.
No injuries were reported during a one-vehicle accident at 5:55 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1 on Bump Road, west of Peebles Road, in the Town of Albany. Tyler D. Vandusen, 17, Albany, was eastbound on Bump Road when he lost control of his vehicle on the snow/ice-covered roadway. The vehicle entered the north ditch and collided with a tree. The vehicle had moderate damage and it was towed from the scene.

DARLINGTON - No injuries were reported during a two vehicle accident at about 3:41 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1 on Wisconsin 11 in the Town of Darlington. Jeffrey L. Paulson, 43, Darlington, was traveling westbound and began slowing down prior to turning left unto Burke Road. Kelly M. Gieseke, 34, Fennimore, was following Paulson when she failed to see his left turn signal and pulled out to pass his vehicle and hit it as it began to turned left. Paulson's truck had moderate damage and it was driven from the scene. Gieseke's vehicle had extensive damage and it was towed from the scene.
No injuries were reported during a one-vehicle accident at 9:19 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2 on Wis. 23 in the Town of Darlington. Jodie L. Dallman, 43, Darlington, was traveling northbound on Wis. 23 when she lost control on the snow covered roadway. Her pickup truck spun around in the road and hit a bridge guardrail. The vehicle had moderate damage and it was towed from the scene. Dallman was cited for failing to have control and operating with no proof of insurance.
No injuries were reported from a two-vehicle accident at 1:35 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2 on County W in the Town of New Diggings. Amanda D. Webster, 24, Benton, was traveling westbound on County W when she approached a snowplow driven by Jared E. Bennett, 38, Benton, who was turning eastbound onto County W from Shawnee Road. As the vehicles met, the plow swung out left of center and hit Webster's vehicle, forcing her to swerve off the road to the right. The vehicle jumped a cement curve and traveled into a small creek. Webster's vehicle had moderate damage. The snowplow had minor damage. Both vehicles were driven from the scene.
No injuries were reported during a vehicle vs. deer accident. Kenneth A. Anderson, 63, Monroe, reported hitting a deer at 6:23 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2 on Wis. 11 in the Town of Wayne. The vehicle had moderate damage.
No injuries were reported by Christy A. Price, 37, Darlington, during a vehicle vs. deer accident at 9:56 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2 on Wis. 23 in the Town of Willow Springs. The vehicle had moderate damage.
No injuries were reported during a one-vehicle accident at 4:23 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 3 on County K in the Town of Darlington. Adam J. Pinnow, 23, South Wayne, was traveling southbound on County K when he reportedly fell asleep. Pinnow lost control of his vehicle, which traveled into the ditch and side-swiped a utility pole. The truck had moderate damage. Pinnow was cited for inattentive driving.
A deputy responded to a vehicle in a ditch at 9:46 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 3 on Wis. 81 in the Town of Seymour. Luke A. Tyson, 24, Platteville, reported that he was traveling westbound at about 1:30 a.m. when he lost control due to the slippery road and the vehicle traveled into the ditch. Tyson left the area without reporting the accident. The vehicle had moderate damage and was towed from the scene. Tyson reported no injuries.
Three people received injuries from a two-vehicle accident at 10:21 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 3 on W. Milwaukee St. in Argyle. Grant R. Laeser, 23, Argyle, was traveling eastbound and met a westbound vehicle driven by Mary E. Kastning, 20, Capron, Ill. As the vehicles met, Kastning lost control causing her vehicle to slide sideways into Laeser's vehicle. A passenger in Laeser's vehicle, Alyssa C. Teasdale, 16, Monroe, was transported to Monroe Clinic hospital for injuries received in the accident. Both drivers were also injured, were treated by EMS, but refused transportation. Argyle EMS, Argyle Fire Department and Blanchardville EMS assisted at the scene. Both vehicles had extensive damage and were towed from the scene. Kastning was cited for failing to have control.
