Lafayette County Sheriff DARLINGTON - On Thursday: • Charles Gilkey III, 21, Sterling, Ill., was uninjured in a one-vehicle accident on County W, Benton Township. Gilkey was cited at 6:55 a.m. for failure to have control after his eastbound vehicle lost control in a curve and hit a fence. The vehicle was severely damaged and was towed from the scene.
