New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS - Police are investigating a hit-and-run accident reported around 6:30 p.m. Feb. 12 in the 300 block of Fifth Avenue. Police report a vehicle owned by Rebecca S. Ascher, 24, New Glarus, was hit by an unknown vehicle and received minor to moderate damage. Anyone with information can contact the New Glarus Police Department at (608) 527-2145.

Green County Sheriff

MONROE - No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident around 5:15 p.m. Monday in the W6000 block of Loveland Road. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Zachery W. Jenson, 18, Monroe, failed to negotiate a curve due to ice on the road, slid sideways and overturned. The vehicle received extensive damage and was towed. Jenson was cited for driving after suspension and failure to wear a seat belt. Speed was a contributing factor.

• No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident around 1:30 p.m. Monday on Wisconsin 69 near Melvin Road. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Abby Jo E. Eslinger, 19, Orangeville, left the road, went over an embankment and overturned. The vehicle received moderate damage. Slippery road conditions contributed to the crash.

• No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident around 3 p.m. Monday on Wis. 69 north of Melvin Road. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Tonya S. Lentz, 28, Mount Morris, Ill., left the road and overturned. The truck received moderate damage. The vehicle was towed. Slippery road conditions contributed to the crash.

• No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident around 9:15 a.m. Monday in the W7000 block of Wis. 11. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Gustavo G. Caro, 40, Roscoe, Ill., hit a mailbox. The vehicle received moderate damage. Speed was a contributing factor.

• No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident around 4:15 p.m. Monday on Wis. 69 north of Cold Spring Road. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Ronald J. Schaaf, 43, Monroe, went into the ditch. The vehicle received moderate damage. Slippery road conditions contributed to the crash.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident around 6 p.m. Monday on Rielly Road in Willow Springs township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Armin G. Wand, 51, Argyle, was stuck in a snow drift and was hit by a vehicle driven by Joseph M. Kieffer, 42, Darlington. Both vehicles received moderate damage.

• No one was injured when a vehicle hit a building around 7 a.m. Monday in Gratiot. Deputies report Rosalio Santiago Rodriguez, 41, Darlington, was unfamiliar with the manual transmission on his vehicle, and when he tried to put the vehicle in park, it jumped the concrete parking barrier and hit the front of the Gratiot Fast Stop gas station. Neither he nor his passenger, Adriana Alverez Rodriguez, were injured. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

• No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident around 10:45 a.m. Monday on U.S. Highway 151 in Belmont township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Kaylene P. Forsman, 18, Germantown, went into a ditch and overturned. The vehicle received extensive damage and was towed.

• No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident around 8:45 a.m. Monday on U.S. Highway 151 in Belmont township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Haillie J. Gevelinger, 23, Mineral Point, went into the median and overturned. Her vehicle received moderate damage and was towed.
