MONROE - On Tuesday, Feb. 11:

• No injuries were reported following a two-vehicle crash on 9th Street and 25th Avenue. Marjorie R. Bliss, 79, Monroe, was cited for failure to yield right-of-way from a stop sign after her vehicle hit a vehicle operated by a 60-year-old female from Monroe.

• No injuries were reported after a two-vehicle accident on 8th Street and 6th Avenue West. Mary A. Mau, 88, Monroe, was cited at 3:09 p.m. for failure to yield right-of-way at a stop sign when her vehicle hit a vehicle operated by a 75-year-old female from Monroe.

• Minor injuries were reported after a two-vehicle accident on 14th Avenue and Mansion Drive. Eric T. Reed, 35, Monroe, was transported to the hospital by a private vehicle after Reed's vehicle hit a vehicle operated by a 42-year-old female from Monroe. Reed was cited for failure to yield right-of-way when emerging from an alley/driveway.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - No injuries were reported after a two-vehicle accident on Wittenwyler Road at Wis. 69, Town of Mount Pleasant. Jay R. Johnson, 23, Monroe, was cited at 4:05 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, for operating without a license, non-registration of a vehicle, operating a vehicle without insurance and passing a vehicle indicating a left turn. He was released pending court. Johnson was southbound on Wis. 69 when the vehicle in front of his, operated by Barbara E. Astell Nelson, 57, Monticello, signaled and began to turn eastbound onto Wittenwyler Road. Johnson attempted to slow his vehicle but his brakes failed so he attempted to pass Nelson on the left and hit her vehicle. Johnson's vehicle spun into the ditch and overturned one time. Nelson's vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene. Johnson's vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene.

DARLINGTON - Minor injuries were reported after a two-vehicle accident on College Farm Road, Elk Grove Township. Platteville EMS and the Wisconsin State Patrol assisted on the scene at 10:38 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11.
