MONROE POLICE

MONROE - No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Sixth Street and Eighth Avenue. A vehicle driven by Jeremy M. Loeffelholz, 33, Brodhead, hit a vehicle operated by James R. Stachowiak, 40, Sugar River, Ill. Both vehicles received moderate damage.

GREEN COUNTY SHERIFF

MONROE - Deputies responded to 11 vehicles in ditches due to weather conditions Wednesday.

LAFAYETTE COUNTY SHERIFF

DARLINGTON - No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday on U.S. Highway 151 in Belmont township. Deputies report Patti J. Richey, 49, Dubuque, Iowa, lost control of her vehicle on the snow-covered highway. Her vehicle then went into the ditch and struck a road sign, receiving minor damage.

•Deputies assisted with a vehicle that had slid off the road into the ditch due to road conditions at about 11:15 a.m. Wednesday on County N in Wayne township.

• A vehicle driven by Gregory L. Schubert, 44, Warren, Ill., hit a deer at about 5 a.m. Wednesday on County KK in Gratiot township. The vehicle received moderate damage.
