Green County Sheriff

MONROE - On Sunday:

• No injuries were reported during a one-vehicle crash at 6:02 p.m. in the W7000 block of Smock Valley Road in Monroe. Juan Pablo Garcia, 20, Monroe, was traveling west when he lost control of the vehicle on the snow-/ice-covered road. The vehicle entered the north ditch and struck several trees before coming to rest. The vehicle was towed. Garcia was cited for driving without a license.

On Monday:

• No injuries were reported during a vehicle versus tree crash reported at 8:36 p.m. in the N2600 block of Halfway Tree Road in the Town of Spring Grove. Clifford E. Winchell, 50, Brodhead, was northbound when he failed to negotiate a curve. The truck went into the east ditch and struck a tree. The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed. Snow-/ice-covered roads were a contributing factor.

MONROE - On Sunday:

• A two-vehicle crash was reported at 10:57 a.m. at 21st Avenue and 13th Street. Bernard L. Statz, 75, rural Monroe, was northbound on 21st Avenue. After stopping at a stop sign on 21st Avenue at 13th Street, Statz pulled into the path of a westbound vehicle on 13th Street. Statz's vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene. The other vehicle sustained extensive damage and was towed. Statz was cited for failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign.

DARLINGTON - On Friday:

• No injuries were reported during a two-vehicle crash at 2:54 p.m. on County W in White Oak Springs Township. Steven W Miles, 60, Naperville, Illinois, was westbound on County W when he was struck by Derian J. Phillips, 22, Scales Mound, Illinois, who was traveling northbound on County O and did not stop at a stop sign. Miles's 2006 Honda and Phillips's 2013 Kia sustained moderate damage and were towed. Phillips was cited for failure to yield from a stop sign.

• No injuries were reported when Randall J. Keister, 64, Evansville, struck a deer at 4:41 p.m. on Wis. 78, Wiota Township. Keister's 2017 Mazda CX-9 received moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

On Saturday:

• No injuries were reported when Lindsey N. Poppy, 37, Shullsburg, struck a deer at 5:48 p.m. on Pecatonica Road, Wiota Township. Poppy's 2001 Chevrolet 1500 received minor damage and was driven from the scene.

On Sunday:

• No injuries were reported during a one-vehicle crash at 7:52 a.m. on Wis. 23 in Willow Springs Township. Steven L. Howard, 59, Darlington, was traveling on Wis. 23 when his vehicle entered the ditch and struck a fence. Howard's 2001 Dodge sustained moderate damage and was towed.

• No injuries were reported during a one-vehicle crash at 12:02 p.m. on Otter Creek Road in Darlington Township. Paul S. Schulte, 55, Darlington, was negotiating a curve when his vehicle left the road and entered the ditch, striking multiple trees. Schulte's 2016 Buick sustained moderate damage and was towed.

• No injuries were reported during a one-vehicle crash at 3:02 p.m. on Old Q Road in Argyle Township. Peter C. Jaggi, 72, Argyle, was traveling on Old Q Road when he lost control of his vehicle and entered the ditch. Jaggi's 1995 Plymouth sustained moderate damage and was towed.

• No injuries were reported when Rebecca L. Bennett, 47, Denver, Colorado, struck a deer at 5:14 p.m. on U.S. 151, Kendall Township. Bennett's 2018 Nissan sustained moderate damage and was towed. Mineral Point EMS and Mineral Point Fire assisted on scene.

On Monday:

• No injuries were reported when Shai G. Rowe, 22, Darlington, struck a deer at 5:31 p.m. on County K in Darlington Township. Rowe's 2006 Audi sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.
