NEW GLARUS POLICE

NEW GLARUS - No injuries were reported at 3:54 p.m. Nov. 24 after a two-vehicle collision in the 1400 block of Wisconsin 69. Jessi L. Swenson, 40, Freeport, struck the rear of a vehicle that had stopped to allow another vehicle to make a left turn. Swenson was cited for inattentive driving. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage.



GREEN COUNTY SHERIFF

MONROE - On Wednesday:

• A driver was injured at 3:28 a.m. after a one-vehicle rollover accident at the intersection of County J and Wis. 81, Town of Monroe. Steven D. Rowley, 42, Monroe, left the roadway and entered a ditch, rolling over before resting on its wheels. Rowley was transported to the Monroe Clinic Emergency Room. He was cited on charges of driving while intoxicated (first offense), driving too fast for conditions, driving with a suspended license, failing to wear a seatbelt and driving without vehicle insurance. His vehicle sustained very severe damage.

• No injuries were reported at 4:18 a.m. after Jeannett L. Harried, 44, Albany, struck a deer in the N8300 block of County E, Town of Brooklyn. Her vehicle sustained severe damage and was driven from the scene.

• No injuries were reported at 5:03 a.m. after Nisha Aleena Lukens, 41, Brooklyn, struck a deer on Glenway Road, Town of Brooklyn. Her vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

• No injuries were reported at 6:15 a.m. after Josh D. Bartelt, 40, Browntown, struck a deer in the W4500 block of Wis. 59, Town of Sylvester. His vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

• A driver sustained a minor injury at 9:45 a.m. after a hit-and-run accident at the interchange between Wis. 11 and Wis. 81, Town of Monroe. Georgia C. Flesher, 70, Monroe, reported being struck by the trailer of a passing truck as she attempted to turn onto Wis. 69. Flesher believed that the driver of the truck was unaware of the collision and continued driving, turning east onto Wis. 11. Flesher declined medical attention. Her vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene. The matter remains under investigation.

• No injuries were reported at 3:24 p.m. after Lori L. Seffrood, 43, Monroe, struck a deer on Wis. 11, Town of Monroe. Her vehicle sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.

• No injuries were reported at 4:57 p.m. after Richard L. Farmer, 55, South Wayne, struck a deer in the W6700 block of Wis. 11, Town of Spring Grove. His vehicle sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.

• No injuries were reported at 6:19 p.m. after Matthew K. Blair, 28, Madison, struck a deer in the N3700 block of Wis. 69, Town of Monroe. His vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

• No injuries were reported at 6:30 p.m. after Timothy D. Rundle, 52, Brodhead, struck a metal post while backing out of a driveway on Theresa Court in Brodhead. His vehicle sustained minor damage.

• No injuries were reported at 10:51 p.m. after Nicki M. Schwartzlow, 34, Brodhead, struck a deer in the N5200 block of Wis. 104, Town of Albany. Her vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

On Thursday:

• No injuries were reported at 6:34 a.m. after Joseph D. Ruegsegger, 22, Monroe, lost control of his vehicle and slid through a fence in the W6900 block of Smock Valley Road, Town of Monroe. Ruegsegger was cited for driving with a suspended license. His vehicle sustained moderate damage.

• No injuries were reported at 11:12 a.m. after Diane L. Hunter, 67, Viroqua, struck a deer on Wis. 69, Town of Clarno. Her vehicle sustained severe damage and was driven from the scene.

• No injuries were reported at 4:50 p.m. after Mitchell P. Peterson, 23, Monroe, struck a deer in the W8200 block of Wis. 81, Town of Jordan. His vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene.

• No injuries were reported at 5:04 p.m. after Martha L. Etter, 69, Monroe, struck a deer in the N7000 block of Wis. 69, Town of Washington. Her vehicle sustained severe damage and was driven from the scene.

• No injuries were reported at 11:50 p.m. after a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Wis. 11 and County GG, Town of Spring Grove. Ruben Ramirez-Campos, 37, Brodhead, struck a vehicle that had slowed down in front of him. Ramirez-Campos was cited for driving while intoxicated (second offense), following too closely, driving with a revoked license and driving without vehicle insurance. The driver of the struck vehicle fled the scene. Both vehicles sustained severe damage; Ramirez-Campos' was driven from the scene while the struck vehicle was towed to the Green County Impound Yard. The matter remains under investigation until the other driver is identified.

On Saturday:

• No injuries were reported at 9:02 a.m. after David E. Beach, 63, Monroe, struck a deer in the N5100 block of County N, Town of Washington. His vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

• No injuries were reported at 9:29 a.m. after Jason A. Hendrickson, 44, Blanchardville, struck a deer in the N5200 block of Wis. 104, Town of Albany. His vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene.

• No injuries were reported at 7:03 p.m. after a two-vehicle collision in the W6900 block of Wis. 81, Town of Adams. Scott L. A. Maresch, 21, Monroe, rear-ended a vehicle driven by Callie L. Scott, 27, Winnebago, Ill., who had stopped for an animal in the roadway. Scott's vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene while Maresch's vehicles was towed from the scene with severe damage.

On Sunday, no injuries were reported at 7:31 p.m. after Michael S. Elzen, 24, Belleville, struck a deer in the N9300 block of County CC, Town of Exeter. His vehicle sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.



LAFAYETTE COUNTY SHERIFF

DARLINGTON - On Wednesday:

• No injuries were reported at 8:52 p.m. after Lyle J. Fischer, 83, Blanchardville, struck a deer on Old Q Road, Town of Argyle. His vehicle sustained minor damage.

• No injuries were reported at 10:35 p.m. after Herbert H. Stone, 52, Mineral Point, struck a deer on Fort Defiance Road, Town of Willow Springs. His vehicle sustained minor damage.

On Friday, a truck driver was injured at 2:54 a.m. after a one-vehicle accident on Wis. 11, Town of Gratiot. Timothy W. Dubel, 48, blacked out while driving and drove into a ditch. Dubel was transported to the Monroe Clinic for a leg injury. His truck sustained moderate damage.

On Saturday:

• No injuries were reported at 3:20 a.m. after Amanda A. Adams, 18, Benton, struck a guardrail on Wis. 81, Town of Argyle, when she swerved to avoid striking a deer. Her vehicle was towed from the scene.

• No injuries were reported at 8:40 a.m. after Michael J. Gilbertson, 43, Argyle, struck a deer on Wis. 81, Town of Argyle. His vehicle sustained minor damage.

On Sunday:

• No injuries were reported at 1:25 a.m. after Tyler R. Smith, 19, Darlington, lost control of his vehicle on County F, Town of Darlington, and drove into a ditch before overcorrecting his course and driving into the other ditch and rolling over. His vehicle was towed from the scene.

• A motorist was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries at 5:04 p.m. after a two-vehicle collision on U.S. 151, Town of Belmont. Erik J. Wier, 19, Coal Valley, Ill., was cited for driving while under the influence of a controlled substance before being hospitalized. The other driver, Stephen E. Carden, 30, Rothchild, was uninjured. The accident remains under investigation. Both vehicles sustained severe damage.
