MONROE - One person was injured in a one-vehicle accident around 5:30 p.m. Saturday in the 6000 block of Pioneer Road in New Glarus township. Deputies report A. Mona S. French, 61, New Glarus, was driving west when she failed to negotiate a curve and struck a tree. French refused medical transport. The vehicle received severe damage and was towed from the scene. French was cited for failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle and was released pending court.
• A vehicle driven by Julie E. Mathys, 42, Blanchardville, hit a deer around 3 a.m. Friday in the W9000 block of County C. The vehicle received moderate damage and was driven from the scene.
