MONROE - No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 6:15 p.m. Wednesday on Yankee Hollow Road, three-tenths of a mile east of Gould Hill Road. Deputies report David S. Stampfli, 17, Monticello, was westbound when he stated he swerved to avoid a deer in the roadway. Stampfli lost control of the vehicle due to speed causing the vehicle to go airborne. The vehicle struck the north ditch and came to rest facing east. The vehicle received severe damage and was towed from the scene. Stampfli was cited for unreasonable and imprudent speed, and failure to maintain control. Stampfli was released pending court.
• A vehicle driven by Kenneth M. Fenne, 52, New Glarus, collided with a deer at about 5 p.m. Wednesday in the N9800 block of Wisconsin 69 in the town of New Glarus. The vehicle received moderate vehicle damage and was driven from the scene.
