MONROE - No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 8 a.m. Monday on Purintun Road west of Tin Can Road. James P. Flood, 18, New Glarus, lost control of his vehicle due to the snow/ice and speed. The vehicle went into the ditch, then rolled onto its passenger side. Flood and passenger Hannah N. Flood, 16, New Glarus, were not injured. The vehicle received moderate damage and was towed from the scene.

• No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 6:30 a.m. Monday in the W700 block of Elmer Road. Robert N. Olin, 65, Brodhead, lost control of his vehicle on the snow-covered roadway, went into the ditch and struck some trees. The vehicle received moderate damage and was towed.

• No one was injured in a vehicle versus power pole accident at about 7:15 a.m. Monday on private property on Buckhorn Road in the Town of Cadiz. Jeffrey S. Williams, 53, Monroe, was backing a Green Valley Disposal truck with the truck box raised when the box struck the power wires, causing them to fall. The truck received no damage.

• A vehicle driven by Jill R. Crouch, 42, Monticello, collided with a deer at about 5:30 p.m. Monday on Wis. 59/County S in the town of Sylvester. The vehicle received minor damage.

• A vehicle driven by Greg L. Anderson, 36, Orangeville, collided with a deer at about 6:30 p.m. Monday on County N south of County C in the Town of Washington. The vehicle received moderate damage.

• A vehicle driven by Katherine J. Krueger, 25, Madison, collided with a deer at about 8:15 p.m. Monday on Wis. 69 south of County C. The vehicle received minor damage.

DARLINGTON - No one was injured on a one-vehicle accident at about 7:30 a.m. Monday on County KK in Gratiot township. Trenton L. Broge, 16, Gratiot, lost control of his vehicle due to icy conditions. The vehicle traveled into the ditch and then into a cornfield, where it rolled onto its side. The vehicle received moderate damage.

• No injuries were reported in a one-vehicle accident at about 9:45 a.m. Monday on Spore Road at Wis. 78 in Wiota township. Rebecca M. Smith, 17, Argyle, was unable to stop before striking a stop sign due to icy conditions. The vehicle received minor damage.

• Deputies investigated a hit-and-run accident at about 4 p.m. Monday on Wis. 23 in Darlington township. Deputies report an unknown vehicle westbound on Dublin Road failed to stop at the Wis. 23 intersection and slid into the ditch, striking a fence. The vehicle left the scene.

• A vehicle driven by William D. Bartsch, 52, Hazel Green, hit a deer at about 5 p.m. Monday on Wis. 81 in Darlington township. The vehicle received moderate damage.
