MONROE - Three burglaries were reported this weekend, two within blocks of each other, according to police reports.
A resident in the 500 block of 17th Avenue reported at 3:58 a.m. Friday, Dec. 16, that a garage had been broken into, but it was unknown if anything had been taken.
Forced entry and stolen jewelry worth "at least several hundred dollars" were reported at 10:08 p.m. Friday in the 1900 block of 5th Street, according to Police Chief Fred Kelley.
On Sunday, Dec. 18, at 6:02 p.m., a video game console, games and jewelry worth hundreds of dollars were reported as stolen from a residence in the 800 block of 17th Street.
Kelley said the burglaries give no indication of being related. Each remains under investigation.
