DARLINGTON - Three people were arrested following an attempt to steal two all-terrain vehicles at a downtown Darlington business at about 8:25 p.m. Wednesday.

City of Darlington police officers responded to a report of three male subjects attempting to steal the ATVs after the business owner, who happened to be inside the store at the time, confronted them and they fled on foot and left their truck behind.

A search for the suspects revealed they had removed articles of clothing in an attempt to alter their physical descriptions so police would not be able to find them. Ultimately, all three subjects were arrested.

Dustin Molzof, 18, Rewey, was arrested along with two male juveniles, a 15-year-old from Rewey and a 16-year-old from Fennimore.

Molzof remains jailed pending future court proceedings, while the juveniles have been released to their parents pending future juvenile court proceedings. All three subjects face charges of attempted theft of a motor vehicle and burglary.
