Susan A. Stoor, age 53, went to join her husband in Heaven on Friday, January 8, 2010, on what would have been his 56th birthday.

Sue was born on August 28, 1956 to Alton and Helen (Holtslander) Beck in Crystal Falls, MI. On June 7, 1975, she married Don Stoor.

Sue graduated from Forest Park High School in 1974. She then graduated from the Wisconsin College of Cosmetology and worked as a cosmetologist for nearly 10 years before staying at home with her children full-time. Later, she worked for the Monroe School District as a teacher's aide.

Besides being a caring mother and wife, Sue loved to sketch and paint. She was also an active member of Union Presbyterian Church, devoting much time to teaching Sunday school.

She is survived by two daughters, Kristin (Bill) Wick of Brooklyn, WI and Kylee (Aaron Wright) Stoor of Madison, WI; one son, Ryan Stoor of Brooklyn, WI; one grandson, Wilson Wick of Brooklyn, WI; her parents, Alton and Helen (Holtslander) Beck of Crystal Falls, MI; three brothers, Alan (Cindy) Beck of Republic, MI, Keary (Dana Marcell) Beck, of Crystal Falls, MI and Matt Raunio of Green Bay, WI; two sisters, Char Beck of Kingsford, MI and Holly (Mark) Novitski of Green Bay, WI; a special uncle, John (Cindy) Holtslander of Rapid River, MI and special aunts, Glenda Beck of Crystal Falls, MI, and Betty Johnson of Peoria, AZ and many other relatives including in-laws, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Stoor.

Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, January 15, 2010 at Union Presbyterian Church, Monroe, with Marilyn Sandin-Ross officiating. A visitation will be held before the service from 4 to 6 p.m. A light dinner will follow the service. A family memorial service will be held in Crystal Falls, MI in the spring. A memorial fund is being established in her name.
