MINERAL POINT - Stanley L. Heins, age 54 of rural Mineral Point, died peacefully on Friday, November 21, 2008 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Darlington, WI on November 16, 1954 to Wilbert and Johanna (Murphy) Heins. He graduated from Darlington High School in the Class of 1973. On January 12, 1974, he married Jeanette Binger at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Calamine, WI. Together, they raised three children. Stan was a United States Marine Corp veteran. He was a farm boy at heart, and you could find him in his spare time hobby farming and helping the neighbors in all the farm ways. He went on two Sturgis Bike Rally trips. He brought his strong work ethics into all his jobs. Stan was a fabricator at Industrial Combustion in Monroe for 18 1/2 years, then did underground drilling for five years, and then landed his dream job driving feeder truck for UPS. Stan was well-known for his big smile. Through his sons' sports, he continued his interest in football and wrestling as a Mineral Point fan. He was also a fan of the Packers and the Badgers. He taught his daughter how to play pool and ride 4-wheeler, and Katelyn shares her dad's apple cheeks and thick hair.

Stan was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Calamine and sometimes attended St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mineral Point.
