MONROE - Two Rockford men were arrested Wednesday after they sold drugs to undercover officers in Rockford.
State Line Area Narcotics Team (SLANT) members arrested Jerry J. Hudson, 27, and Deprentice A. McDonald, 22.
Hudson is charged with two counts of delivery of a controlled substance and unlawful use of a weapon by a felon. Hudson allegedly delivered heroin and cocaine to an Illinois State Police informant on two occasions in September.
McDonald is charged with three counts of delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a church. He allegedly sold cocaine to an undercover officer on three occasions within 1,000 feet of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in July.
SLANT is made up of officers from the Green and Lafayette County sheriffs' departments, the Monroe Police Department, the Illinois State Police, the Boone County, Ill., sheriff's department and the Freeport, Rockford, Roscoe and Loves Park, Ill., police departments.
