MONROE - A brother and sister found guilty in two October 2010 burglaries were sentenced last week in Green County Court.
Micki Fredrick Nafzger, 17, Monroe, was sentenced to two years, six months in prison and five years of extended supervision for two felony convictions of burglary.
Tasha Marie Nafzger, 22, Madison, was sentenced to four years of probation for two felony convictions of theft. Two felony charges of burglary were dismissed but "read in," meaning she has agreed to be held responsible for the charges and have the court consider them when sentencing for another crime, and she cannot be prosecuted for the charges in the future.
As part of her probation agreement, she must share $11,677 in restitution costs with her brother, pay $546 in fees, obtain a GED or high school equivalency diploma, undergo an alcohol and drug assessment and have no contact with the victims or her brother Micki.
Micki Nafzger has been ordered to pay his share of the restitution out of 25 percent of his prison wages, pay $546 in fees, obtain a GED or high school equivalency diploma and have no contact with the victims, his sister or Marquis M. Mayo, a Monroe 17-year-old who court records indicate had some involvement in carrying out the burglaries.
