ORFORDVILLE - An Orfordville man was shot in the foot at about 9:30 p.m. Sunday in the 6000 block of Holden Road in Orfordville, according to a Rock County Sheriff's Department news release Monday.
Keith Simonson, 39, sustained a shotgun blast to the foot while sitting in his vehicle. He was taken to Mercy Hospital in Janesville.
Simonson and a passenger in the vehicle, Chase Stiklestad, 29, Brodhead, had been at a Beloit area tavern and were intoxicated.
"Details of what led up to the firearm injury are still vague," Rock County Sheriff Robert Spoden said. The injury was determined to be accidental, he added.
Simonson was arrested for drunken driving, felon in possession of a firearm and endangering safety while intoxicated.
Stiklestad was questioned and released.
