ALBANY - Shirley May Sarbacker Dudones, age 61, passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2014, at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born on April 19, 1953 in Monroe, WI, the daughter of Leo and Eva (Miller) Sarbacker Sr. She married Stanley Dudones Jr. on April 19, 1976. He passed away on June 9, 1986. She was then engaged to Francis Pence. He passed away on March 24, 2006.
Shirley worked at Frito Lay, Monroe, WI, for 32 years and at Jack Links, New Glarus, WI, for 9 years until her health failed. She also had babysat many kids through the years. Shirley loved going to rummage sales and fishing, but especially loved spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by sisters, Bonnie (Ronald) Grigsby, Brodhead, Alice Finley, Monroe, WI, Julia (Bob) Uphoff, Madison, WI, Mary Koch, Albany, WI; brothers, Albert (Merri) Sarbacker, Evansville, WI, Richard Sarbacker, Janesville, WI, Charles Sarbacker, Argyle, WI, Leo (Patricia) Sarbacker Jr., Florence, WI; two special girls, Tatum Ceslok and Lylee Grigsby; good friends, Sue and Dan Crase, Joan Klassy, Wilbert Boss; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Jerry and Bernard Sarbacker; a brother-in-law, Richard Ceslok; and two sisters-in-law, Betty and Ruth Sarbacker.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Monday, October 6, 2014, at the D.L. NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, BRODHEAD, WI, with Pastor David Frey officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Albany, WI.
