BRODHEAD - Shirley M. Scheidegger, age 75, of Brodhead, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2014, at her home. She was born on September 18, 1938 in Janesville, WI, the daughter of Benart and Elva (Thostenson) Anderson. She married Sherman D. Scheidegger on April 6, 1957 in Brodhead.
Shirley enjoyed her life being a homemaker and crocheting. She especially loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Sherman; her mother, Elva Anderson, Davis, IL; her children, Duane (Kathy) Scheidegger, Gene Scheidegger, and Shelly (Bob) Hull, all of Brodhead; a brother, Walt (Lorraine) Anderson, Brodhead; two sisters, Carol (Clifford) Goeke, Davis, IL, Donna Scheidegger, Brodhead; six grandchildren, Derek (Christina) Scheidegger, Suzie Johnson, Brian (Amber) Scheidegger, Travis Hull, Kendra and Brianna Scheidegger; three step-grandchildren, Matt (Amber) Rear, Emily and Thomas Rear; seven great-grandchildren, Raelynn, Cheyanna, Lily, Makenna, Isabella, Lucas, Alivia; three step-grandchildren, Leah, Elise, and Easton. She was preceded in death by her father and a brother, Jerry Anderson.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at the D.L. NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, BRODHEAD, WI. Burial will be in Luther Valley Cemetery, rural Beloit, WI.
