Sheryl Y. Tschudy, age 70, of Monroe, passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at Monroe Manor Nursing Home. She was born on April 17, 1945 in Monroe, the daughter of Francis and Ellsie (Reusser) Kaster and graduated from Juda High School.
Sheryl and Ronald Youngs were married in Freeport in 1968; she later married Arthur Tschudy on September 29, 1979 in Monroe.
Sheryl was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish at St. Victors Catholic Church; Cecil Jones V.F.W. Post #2312 Auxiliary and American Legion Auxiliary Unit #84; A.A.M.A. and Cooties. Sheryl also enjoyed gambling, reading, butterflies and lady bugs and spending time with family.
She is survived by her son, Cole Youngs, of Monroe; and his children, Dylan and Tyler; brothers, Mike Kaster of Burlington, John (Mary) Kaster of Whitewater; and a sister, Pat Yeagle of Winslow, IL.
She is predeceased by her parents, and husband, Arthur "Fritz" Tschudy.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at the American Legion, 1627 12th Ave. Monroe. A visitation will be held from 11:00 am, until the time of service, at the American Legion. A memorial has been established in Sheryl's name. Shriner Hager Gohlke funeral home is assisting the family.
