Rose Lindholm, age 94 of Chicago, IL, died Sunday, February 10, 2008 at the Monroe Hospital. Rose was born in Switzerland on February 27, 1913, the 4th oldest of 12 children to Fred and Louise (Braun) Affolter.
She married Roy Lindholm and he preceded her in death in 1959.
Rose was raised in Monroe before moving to Chicago in 1939. Since 1959 she lived on Lake Shore Drive in Chicago where she worked as a hairdresser. Rose loved life and lived it to the fullest. She never retired, still seeing clients within the past few weeks. She was a wonderful friend, sister, aunt, and a huge Green Bay Packer fan.
She is survived by three sisters, Pauline Jones of Juda, Karlene Peterson of Sierra Vista, AZ, and Sophie (Robert) Kleckler of McConnell, IL; eleven nieces, thirteen nephews, many close friends including Joseph Golz, Patricia Tatum, Jenna Constatine, Sheree Clewis, Marilyn Moraira, and Barb Hofherr; and two granddogs, Morgan and Truman. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Paul, John, and Edwin Affolter; five sisters, Margaret Stuessy, Gertrude Anderson, Alice Jones, Mabel Searles, and Marie Berry; and a niece, Cindy Jones.
A memorial services will be held in Chicago and inurnment at Greenwood Cemetery in Monroe at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Newcomer Funeral Home, 1329 31st Ave., Monroe, in Rose's name. The Newcomer Funeral Home of Monroe is assisting the family.
