Roberta J. "Bobbi" Stauffacher, age 57 of rural Darlington, WI, passed away Monday, March 1, 2010, unexpectedly at her home. She was born February 4, 1953, in Dodgeville, WI, the daughter of Robert and Jean (Engels) Mottley. Bobbi graduated from Darlington High School in 1971. She was united in marriage to Eugene Stauffacher on August 11, 1973, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Darlington. Bobbi attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison for two years and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in 1990 with a degree in Business Administration. She farmed at Stauff-Acres on the family farm until going to work for Darlington Mutual Insurance Company in 1984.

Bobbi is survived by her mother: Jean Mottley of Darlington; her mother-in-law: Hazel Stauffacher of Darlington; three children: Tim (Nikki) Stauffacher of Naperville, IL, Gina (Tom) Les of Tinley Park, IL, and Kathy (James) Barke of Woodridge, IL; four grandchildren: Evan and Cory Les, Aaron Stauffacher, and Tyler Barke; and three sisters: Connie (David) Heins of Darlington, Peggy (Oskar) Rupp of Vancouver, WA, and Carol (Randy) Egan of Rochester, MN. She was preceded in death by her father: Robert in 1997 and her husband: Eugene in 1999.

Bobbi was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Darlington. She was a former president of WAMIC (Wisconsin Association of Mutual Insurance Companies) and a member of NAMIC (National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies) and took great pride in her work. Bobbi enjoyed supporting the Darlington Redbirds, cheering for the Green Bay Packers and a good movie with popcorn. She was always happiest when spending time with her family and friends, whether it be playing Euchre with her card club friends or going to Marco Island with her mom and sisters. However, her greatest joy was her children and their families. Bobbi truly loved being a grandma and she took full advantage of the chance to "spoil" them. Her kindness, smile, and love for life will be missed by all who knew her.
