Robert J. "Abber" "Bob" Rufenacht, age 86 of Friendship, Wisconsin, formerly of Monroe, died Sunday, August 26, 2012 at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Monroe. He was born November 25, 1925 in Monroe, the son of Paul and Alta (Hoeft) Rufenacht and graduated from Monroe High School. Robert married Miriam Glenn and later married Leona Smull. He was co-owner of Rufenacht Oil Company where he worked all of his life. He was a life member of Monroe & Adams Lions Clubs and Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #754 in Monroe.

He is survived by his children, Gary (Rhonda) Rufenacht, Tom (Sharon) Rufenacht, Dave (Lynne) Rufenacht, Rick Rufenacht, & Ann Marie (Bill) Schager; grandchildren, Greg Rufenacht, Mark Rufenacht, Jeff Rufenacht, Todd Rufenacht, Melissa Hluchy, Jessica Giles, Claire McMannes, Megan Rufenacht, Dan Rufenacht, Emily Rufenacht, Kendra LaGrange, & Michelle Phillipps; 12 great-grandchildren; step-children, Roger Hanson, Keith (Fiancée, Donna Merchant) Hanson, & Mark (Denise) Hanson; 3 step-grandchildren; and 2 step-great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents; wife, Leona; and brother, Harold Rufenacht.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 30, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home 1455 Mansion Drive & N. 18th Avenue in Monroe, WI. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Monroe.

Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until time of service at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
