Robert H. Kegebein Sr., age 76, of rural Monroe, died on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at his home. He was born on October 18, 1938 in Crystal Lake, IL; the son of Elmer and LuLu (Rohrssen) Kegebein and was a graduate of Crystal Lake Community High School.
Robert Served in the U.S. Army from 1956-1963 and the Army Reserve from 1963-1967.
Robert Kegebein and Sandra Joann Schuringa were married on March 2, 1968 in Crystal Lake, IL.
Robert was a proud dairy and beef farmer in Jordan Township. He enjoyed the outdoors and was proud that he could fix most anything that came his way. Robert was a member of the Monroe Bible Church.
He is survived by his wife, Joann, of Monroe, sons, Richard (Mary) Rehberg of Green Bay; Ronald (Kathy) Rehberg of Grand Junction, CO; Robert (Jackie) Kegebein Jr., of Argyle, daughters, Lori (Rob) Suda of Green Bay, Jodi, Sandra and Patricia Kegebein all of Monroe; brothers, John (Jeannie) Kegebein of Watsonville, CA; Barry (J.C.) Kegebein of Bloomington, MN.; 11 1/2 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his parents.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home 1455 Mansion Dr. N. 18th Ave. in Monroe with Rev. Dan Krahenbuhl officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home and from 10:00 a.m. until time of service on Saturday.
