Robert D. "Bob" Stamm age 77 of Rockford, Illinois, formerly of Monroe, Wisconsin died on Friday, January 27, 2012 at New Glarus Home. He was born March 4, 1934 at Freeport, Illinois the son of Frank and Genevieve (Barrett) Stamm and graduated from Monroe High School in 1953. Robert and Gayle Spring were married on February 15, 1957 in Monticello, WI. Bob lived in the Monroe area most of his lifetime and worked at Fairbanks, Barber Coleman, & Decatur Dairy. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, antiques, bottle collecting, playing cards, & was a member of Green County Barber Shop Chorus.
Surviving are his sweetheart, Shirley Goodman of Monroe; sons, Guy (Lora Douglas) Stamm of Albany, Tony (Carol) Stamm of Monroe, Randy (Elena) Stamm of Boise, ID, & Kerry (Dawna Engleking) Stamm of Monroe; grandchildren, Logan, Cody, Laura, & Adam Stamm; siblings, Wayne (Geri) Stamm, Sue (Dick) Brick, George (Shirley) Stamm, Kay Bunn, & Terry (Carol) Stamm; and many Nieces & Nephews. He was predeceased by his Parents.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 4, 2012 at Monroe United Methodist Church with Rev Randy Booth officiating. Burial will follow in Oneco Cemetery, Oneco Illinois.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Friday at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home 1455 Mansion Drive & N. 18th Avenue in Monroe.
Memorials to the Parkinson Disease Foundation would be appreciated by Bob's family.
