Randy J. Brauer, 64, Orangeville, Illinois, died at 3:38 p.m., Monday, January 11, 2010 at home surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. Born March 16, 1945 in Rockford, Illinois, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold and Lueva (Parker) Brauer. Married the former Patricia A. Erickson in Orfordville, Wisconsin on July 16, 1966. Randy was a dairy farmer, retiring in 2004 and then worked at Equity Livestock in Monroe, Wisconsin until October 2009. He also had a partnership with his brother in a Culver's in St. Charles, Missouri. He served in the US Army Reserves. He loved being outdoors and spending time with his family and friends. He graduated from Winnebago High School, Class of 1964.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Brauer, Orangeville, Illinois; son, Kevin (Crystal) Brauer, Davis, Illinois; daughters, Kimberly Brauer, Rockford, Illinois, KaSandra (Rick) George and Kelly (Randy) Young, both of Winnebago, Illinois; grandchildren Kristen, Jordan, Bailey and Alyssa; brother, Parker (Mary) Brauer, Troy, Missouri; sister, Connie (Chas) Chaney, Sterling, Illinois; brother, Allyn Brauer, Fox Lake, Illinois and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Cheri and sister-in-law Kathy Brauer.

Funeral ceremonies will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 15, 2010 in McCorkle Funeral Home, 101 Main Street, Durand, Illinois with Pastor Ken Schmoyer, pastor of Winnebago Fellowship Church, officiating. Burial in Howard Union Cemetery, Durand, Illinois. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, January 14.
