Ralph J. "Sonny" Sellnow

Ralph J. "Sonny" Sellnow, age 84, of Monroe, formerly of Albany, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2016 surrounded by his family. He was born on December 30, 1931 in Monroe, the son of Ralph and Selma (Miller) Sellnow. He graduated from Albany High School in 1949.

Ralph and Joanne M. Stephenson were married on September 17, 1955 in Albany. They recently just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary together. He served in the Wisconsin National Guard for 8 years as a Rifle Platoon Master Sargent. He worked for Spring Grove Insurance Co., the Albany Township Assessor's Office, and was a long time member of Albany Baptist Church. His greatest enjoyment was farming in the Albany area for many years. Ralph was an avid hunter and fisherman; biggest fan at his grandchildren's sporting events, and a grandpa to many.

He is survived by his wife, Joanne; 4 children: Shelley (Claire) Pryce of Albany, Jeffrey (Marilyn) Sellnow of Monroe, Lisa (David) Leutenegger of Oregon, WI, and Jason (Becki) Sellnow of Canyon Country, CA; 8 grandchildren: Brandi, Aaron, Chase, Kyleigh, Joel, Brett, Taylor, and Treavor; 3 great-grandchildren: Brandon, Lily, and Sawyer. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A visitation will be held at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home on Saturday, February 6, 2016 from 3:00 - 6:00 pm with a celebratory memorial service to follow.
