Police remind residents of city dog regulations

DARLINGTON - Darlington Police Chief Jason King said city residents need to remember dog regulations as more pets will be out with their owners as the weather warms up.

According to King dogs:

• must be restrained and not permitted to run at large

• must have a rabies vaccination and be licensed with the city

• can't be kept if the dog has a tendency to attack or endanger safety

• can't be allowed to bark repeatedly

In addition, people who walk their dogs must clean up after them.
