BRODHEAD - For the week of Aug. 30 to Saturday, police handled 148 calls for service, 35 citizen assists, 25 security checks, eight assists to other agencies, eight traffic stops, four EMS calls, one 911 call, one fire call and one mental health transport.

On Aug. 30:

• A 40-year-old Brodhead man was arrested at 1:19 a.m. on a third-offense charge of operating while intoxicated. He was also cited for unsafe lane deviation.

• A hit-and-run crash was reported at 7:33 p.m. in the 900 block of West Exchange Street.

On Aug. 31:

• A theft was reported at 6:52 a.m. in the 2400 block of 1st Center Avenue.

On Sept. 1:

• A domestic disturbance was reported at 12:32 p.m. in the 1600 block of East 5th Avenue.

• Disorderly conduct was reported at 1:16 p.m. at Brodhead Elementary School.

On Wednesday:

• A 29-year-old Madison man was cited for driving with a suspended license and failing to stop for a school bus at 7:42 a.m. in the N2800 block of County GG.

• A 60-year-old Brodhead man was cited for resisting/interfering with an officer at 3:46 p.m. in the 700 block of 5th Street.

On Friday:

• Disorderly conduct was reported at 2:08 p.m. at Brodhead Elementary School.

On Saturday:

• Trespassing was reported at 7:33 p.m. in the 900 block of East 3rd Avenue.

• Officers responded at 8:07 p.m. to the 1400 block of East 2nd Avenue for the report of disorderly conduct. Contact was made and a warning issued.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - David M. Rosebrook, 42, Argyle, was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating while intoxicated after deputies responded to a one-vehicle crash in the W1500 block of Decatur Albany Road, Town of Decatur, at 1:42 a.m. Friday. Rosebrook was westbound when he failed to yield at a yield sign, continued through the intersection and went down an embankment. He was injured in the crash but declined medical treatment. The vehicle was severely damaged and towed. Rosebrook was also cited for failure to maintain control of his vehicle and for having open intoxicants in the vehicle. He was released pending court.

On Saturday:

• Christy L. Schultz, 37, Monroe, was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating while intoxicated after deputies stopped a vehicle at 2:25 a.m. in the 1000 block of 13th Avenue in Monroe. She was also cited for driving with a revoked license and for driving a motor vehicle on a sidewalk. She was released pending court.

• Matthew T. Meyer, 44, Brooklyn, was arrested on a domestic abuse-related charge of disorderly conduct after deputies responded at 2:43 a.m. to the 200 block of 2nd Street in Brooklyn. He was jailed pending court.

• David D. Dix, 26, Belvidere, Ill., was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct after deputies responded to the Sugar River at 4:32 p.m. for a report of a highly intoxicated subject. Dix was booked into jail and later released after posting bond.

• Mickey C. Vaade, 29, Monroe, was arrested in Monroe on a third-offense charge of operating while intoxicated in the 900 block of 8th Avenue after deputies and Monroe police responded to a report at 11:17 p.m. of an intoxicated driver in the area. Vaade was also cited for driving with a revoked license. He was jailed pending court or bond.

On Sunday:

• Eric G. Leibold, 49, Monroe, was booked into the Green County Jail on a charge through the Monroe Police Department at 12:09 a.m. when marijuana and drug paraphernalia were found on his person. He was cited for possessing both.

• Luke A. Kasten, 25, Brodhead, was arrested on a first-offense, alcohol-related charge of operating while intoxicated at 2:15 a.m. on County E at Golf Course Road, Town of Decatur. He is also charged with driving with a prohibited blood-alcohol concentration, attempting to flee police and speeding. He was jailed pending court or bond.

• Thomas W.M. Cozzens, 18, Monticello, was cited for driving with a suspended registration at 10:44 p.m. on Wis. 69 at Lake Avenue in Monticello.
