Monroe Police

MONROE - Dennis S. Bates, 53, Monroe, was cited for disorderly conduct after officers responded at 11:16 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, to a report of a physical altercation in the 1100 block of 30th Street.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Eddie S. Bennett, 38, Juda, was arrested on a first-offense charge of driving under the influence of alcohol after deputies stopped a vehicle for speeding in the W8200 block of Wisconsin 81, Town of Jordan, at 1:59 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 3. Bennett was also cited for speeding, driving without vehicle insurance and non-registration of an auto. He was released pending court.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Thursday, Sept. 3:

• A deputy responded at 1:34 a.m. to Louisa Street in Darlington to assist Darlington police.

• Ira King, 56, Benton, was cited for public nuisance at 1:59 p.m. on Alma Street in Benton.

• A deputy responded at 7:23 p.m. to South Lafayette Street in Argyle for a civil dispute.

• A deputy responded at 7:41 p.m. to a traffic complaint on Wis. 11, Town of Shullsburg.

• Hugo Herrera Hernandez, 34, Monroe, was cited for driving without a valid license at 7:46 p.m. on Wis. 11 in South Wayne.

• A deputy responded at 9:15 p.m. to a traffic complaint on Wis. 78, Town of Wiota.

• Suspicious activity was reported at 10:33 p.m. on First Street in Benton.

• A deputy responded to check welfare at 10:58 p.m. on Railroad Avenue in Benton.

• A deputy responded at 11:48 p.m. to a traffic complaint on Wis. 81, Town of Seymour.
