Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Sunday:

• Timothy J. Brindley, 31, and Shawn M. Christianson, 27, both of Hollandale, were arrested on charges of disorderly conduct after deputies responded to a report of an assault on North Main Street in Blanchardville. Brindley and Christianson were booked at the jail and later released.

• Deputies responded at 4:38 a.m. to a noise complaint on South Varnum Street in South Wayne.

• An ATV complaint was reported at 10:37 a.m. on School Street in Gratiot.

• Deputies responded at 12:13 p.m. to Red School Road, Town of Elk Grove, for a civil dispute.

• A deputy responded at 1:26 p.m. to West Water Street in Shullsburg for an animal problem.

• Steven C. Lehman, 57, South Wayne, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct after deputies responded at 3:16 p.m. to a disorderly conduct complaint on County D, Town of Wayne. Lehman was booked at the jail and later posted bond.

• Harassment was reported at 5:35 p.m. on Railroad Avenue in Benton.

• A deputy responded at 7:15 p.m. to South Galena Street in South Wayne for an animal problem.

• Property damage was reported at 11:44 p.m. on East Main Street in Benton.

On Monday:

• Suspicious activity was reported at 6:29 a.m. on Bethel Grove Road, Town of Kendall.

• A vehicle in the ditch was reported at 7:31 a.m. on Truman Road, Town of Kendall.

• Katie R. Ware, 34, South Wayne, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct after deputies responded at 8:32 a.m. to a report of a domestic dispute on North Warren Street in South Wayne. She was booked at the county jail, where she posted bond and was released.

• Matthew D. Denure, 39, Blanchardville, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and battery after a deputy assisted Blanchardville police at 12:29 p.m. with a reported domestic dispute on West Hill Street in Blanchardville. Denure was booked at the jail and later released.

• A deputy responded at 3:54 p.m. to West Main Street in Benton for a welfare check.

• Jason A. Gordon, 42, Barneveld, was cited for driving without proof of vehicle insurance at 6:05 p.m. on Wisconsin 78, Town of Argyle.

• Michael J. Pittz, 27, Argyle, was cited for driving without proof of vehicle insurance at 6:20 p.m. on Wis. 78, Town of Argyle.

• Michael R. Runden, 46, Hollandale, was cited for driving without proof of vehicle insurance at 6:48 p.m. on Wis. 78, Town of Argyle.

• Travis R. Edler, 35, Monroe, was cited for driving without proof of vehicle insurance at 8:32 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Lamont.

• A deputy assisted Shullsburg police at 8:46 p.m. with a report of suspicious activity on Carnak Clun Street in Shullsburg.

• Samantha J. Jones, 21, Argyle, was cited for driving without proof of vehicle insurance at 10:14 p.m. on Wis. 78, Town of Blanchard.

• A deputy responded at 10:15 p.m. to U.S. 151, Town of Belmont, for a traffic complaint. Belmont police assisted on scene.



Albany Police

ALBANY - Stephani R. Phalin, 32, Albany, was cited for illegal burning Monday, Sept. 18.

• Brandon D. Hatlevig, 37, Albany, was arrested Friday on charges of disorderly conduct and bail jumping.

• Joseph A. Lartz, 27, Monroe, was cited Saturday for driving with a revoked license.

• Bryan A. Atkinson, 28, Beloit, was arrested Saturday on a second-offense charge of driving while under the influence of an intoxicant and cited for driving too fast for conditions.

• Mark A. Flood, 51, Albany, was arrested Sunday on a charge of knowingly violating a domestic-abuse injunction.

• Tyler J. Corning, 18, Monroe, was cited Sunday for displaying false registration plates, driving without a valid license and receiving stolen property.



Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD - During the week of Sunday, Sept. 17 to Saturday, Sept. 23, police responded to 52 calls for citizen assists or community policing, performed 41 security checks, made 31 traffic stops, responded to 23 calls for service, performed 17 vehicle registrations and responded to 12 911 calls, 11 agency assists, eight EMS calls and one fire call. There were no reported transports for mental health or detox.

On Sunday:

• Disorderly conduct was reported at 3:41 p.m. in the 400 block of 2nd Street. A subject rang a doorbell and ran away. Police issued a warning.

• A counterfeit bill was reported at 11:35 p.m. in the 2400 block of 1st Center Avenue.

On Monday:

• A Brodhead man, 35, was arrested at 9:16 a.m. in the 1000 block of 21st Street on a warrant issued by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.

• A motor vehicle theft was reported at 3:25 p.m. in the 900 block of East 3rd Avenue. The vehicle had been picked up by a tow company in error. It was returned to the owner without incident.

• Property damage was reported at 3:41 p.m. in the 300 block of 17th Street. Subjects had sprayed the interior of a motor home. Police are seeking a subject to question about the incident.

• Disorderly conduct was reported at 4:16 p.m. in the 500 block of 11th Street. A subject caused a disturbance with a neighbor. Police issued a warning.

• Disorderly conduct was reported at 5:54 p.m. at a residence in the 600 block of East Exchange Street. A juvenile was causing a disturbance. Police issued a warning.

On Tuesday:

• Theft was reported at 1:56 p.m. in the 1000 block of 3rd Street. A part had been removed from a vehicle.

• A Polk, Pennsylvania man, 49, was cited for speeding at 3:30 p.m. in the 600 block of 1st Street.

• A dog at large was reported at 3:51 p.m. in the 300 block of 8th Street. Police warned the owner.

• A Brodhead woman, 43, was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign at 9:39 p.m. in the 900 block of 25th Street.

On Wednesday:

• Truancy was reported at 11:02 a.m. in the 2500 block of West 5th Avenue. Police issued a warning.

• A Blanchardville man, 24, was cited for speeding at 3:32 p.m. in the 500 block of East 9th Avenue.

• A Janesville woman, 61, was cited for speeding at 5:53 p.m. in the 600 block of 1st Street.

• A scam phone call was reported at 6:02 p.m. in the 600 block of East 4th Avenue.

• A Brodhead man, 27, was issued five citations for operator failure to have a passenger seat-belted at 7:51 p.m. in the 700 block of 1st Center Avenue.

On Thursday:

• Truancy was reported at 8:23 a.m. in the 1400 block of 21st Street.

• A Janesville man, 35, was arrested on a second-offense charge of operating while intoxicated at 8:46 p.m. in the 600 block of East 9th Avenue. He was also cited for deviating from designated lane, operating left of center and having open intoxicants in a motor vehicle.

• Disorderly conduct was reported at 10:31 p.m. at a business in the 1100 block of 1st Center Avenue. A subject was causing a disturbance but left the business without incident.

On Friday:

• A gas drive-off was reported at 4:02 p.m. in the 2400 block of 1st Center Avenue. Police determined it was unintentional. The matter was resolved.

• Disorderly conduct was reported at 7:16 p.m. at a residence in the 600 block of East Exchange Street. A juvenile was causing a disturbance. Police were able to resolve the matter.

• A Monroe man, 52, was arrested on charges of operating while intoxicated and operating with a prohibited blood-alcohol content at 11:19 p.m. in the 1700 block of 17th Street. He was also cited for unsafe lane deviation.

On Saturday:

• A Brodhead man, 40, was arrested on charges of operating while intoxicated and operating with a prohibited blood-alcohol content at 2:24 a.m. in the 900 block of 17th Street. He was also cited for unsafe lane deviation.

• Two guns of unknown value were reported stolen at 9:58 a.m. from a residence in the 1000 block of 21st Street.

• A Rockford, Illinois, man, 53, was cited for speeding at 10:02 a.m. in the N300 block of 1st Center Avenue.
