ALBANY POLICE

ALBANY - Matthew W. Schmid , 35, Albany, was arrested Sunday on a warrant for parole violation, disorderly conduct, battery, strangulation and false imprisonment.



BRODHEAD POLICE

BRODHEAD - For the week of Oct. 18 to Oct. 24, there were 127 calls for service, 39 citizen assists, 39 security checks, 33 registrations, five EMS calls, five traffic stops and four assists of other agencies.

• A child custody issue was reported at 6:14 p.m. on Oct. 18 in the 2400 block of 1st Center Avenue. Police mediated and resolved the issue.

On Wednesday:

• A gas drive-off was reported at 2:25 p.m. in the 2400 block of 1st Center Avenue. Police are attempting to contact the suspect.

• Damage to property was reported at 5:55 p.m. in the 400 block of 10th Street after an individual threw items at a building. Police are seeking a suspect to question.

• Smashed decorative pumpkins were reported at 9:40 a.m. in the 1300 block of 19th street. Police are seeking a suspect to question.

On Thursday:

• Damage to a building was reported at 4:18 p.m. in the 2500 block of West 5th Avenue. Police are seeking a suspect to question.

• A gas drive-off was reported at 6:28 p.m. in the 2400 block of 1st Center Street. Police are attempting to contact the suspect.

On Saturday, a 21-year-old Madison woman was cited at 11:37 p.m. in the 600 block of 1st Street for speeding.



MONROE POLICE

MONROE - Jon S. Kinder, 37, Nolenville, Tenn., was arrested at 1:17 a.m. Friday in the 500 block of 22nd Avenue on a warrant issued by the Oconomowoc Police for failing to pay a fine from a charge of operating while intoxicated. Kinder paid the fine and was released.



NEW GLARUS POLICE

NEW GLARUS - On Oct. 19:

• Police assisted the Sheriff's Department at 8:06 a.m. in the Town of Exeter with a residential burglar alarm.

• Police assisted the Sheriff's Department at 9:03 p.m. with a follow-up investigation in the 10 block of 5th Avenue.

• A 911 call was made at 10:42 p.m. at a business in the 600 block of Wisconsin 69. An individual had lost a room key and had called police in order to enter their residence.

On Oct. 20:

• Police assisted the Wisconsin Department of Corrections at 9:47 a.m. with an investigation regarding a village resident.

• A hold-up alarm was reported at 10:48 a.m. in the 500 block of 1st Street. The situation was found to be OK. The Green County Sheriff's Department assisted on scene.

• Douglas R. Mize, 59, Bartlett, Ill., was cited at 12:46 p.m. for unsafe passing on the right in the 1200 block of Wis. 69.

On Wednesday:

• Suspicious activity was reported at 2:10 a.m. in the 300 block of Heidi Court. No suspicious activity was found.

• Suspicious activity was reported at 3:30 p.m. in the 300 block of 7th Avenue. The activity was found to be a door-to-door salesman selling meat.

• Police assisted the Sheriff's Department at 5:45 p.m. with a juvenile case that ended up in the 500 block of 5th Street in the village.

On Thursday, Kevin J. Koch, 47, New Glarus, was cited at 3:30 p.m. for texting while driving at the intersection of 2nd Street at 14th Avenue.

On Friday, police checked a juvenile's welfare at 3:20 p.m. at a residence in the village. The juvenile was found to be fine and no further action was taken.

On Saturday:

• A citizen reported at 4:35 p.m. having lost a Stihl leaf blower while driving around town. Anyone who finds the blower is strongly encouraged to contact the police at 527-2145.

• A suspicious vehicle was reported at 9:18 p.m. on 4th Avenue. The vehicle was located and everything was found to be OK.

• Willow G. Lee, 15, New Glarus, was cited at 10 p.m. for a graduated license violation as she had too many passengers in her vehicle after being stopped at the intersection of 14th Avenue and 1st Street for a registration violation.

• An illegally parked vehicle was reported at 10:41 p.m. and the offending vehicle was issued a citation.

On Sunday:

• Christopher R. Oleary, 25, Monticello, was cited at 1:40 a.m. at the intersection of 5th Avenue and 2nd Street for having open intoxicants in public.

• Police responded at 5:31 p.m. to a report of a loud confrontation within a residence in the 500 block of 14th Avenue. The confrontation was found to be only verbal in nature. Monticello police assisted on scene.

• Police assisted Monticello Police at 9:12 p.m. on a traffic stop at the intersection of Wis. 69 and Coates Avenue.



GREEN COUNTY SHERIFF

MONROE - Anthony J. Castle, 26, New Glarus, was arrested at 9:16 p.m. on Friday in the N9500 block of County CC, Town of Exeter, for disorderly conduct. Castle was jailed pending court.

On Saturday:

• Nicholas A. Spencer, 21, Orangeville, was arrested at 2:09 a.m. at the intersection of County B and Wis. 69, Town of Clarno, for operating while intoxicated. Spencer was also cited for driving with a prohibited alcohol concentration and driving at an unreasonable speed. Spencer was released pending court.

• Zachary B. Hanson, 28, Argyle, was cited at 9:31 a.m. in the W4400 block of Duncan Hill Road, Town of Jordan, for disorderly conduct. Hanson was released pending court.

On Sunday:

• Nathan G. Trickel, 49, Monroe, was cited at 12:39 p.m. in the N7200 block of County X, Town of Brooklyn, for criminal damage to property. Trickel was given a court date.

• Sergio E. Victorgarcia, 19, Fitchburg, was cited at 5:53 p.m. in the N1700 block of County T, Town of Spring Grove, for speeding and driving without a license. Victorgarcia was given a court date.

DARLINGTON - On Friday:

• Livestock on the roadway was reported at 12:16 a.m. on West Mound Road, Town of Belmont.

• An injured animal on the roadway was reported at 6:54 a.m. on County G, Town of Argyle.

• Deputies checked an individual's welfare at 1:04 p.m. on Buncombe Road, Town of Benton.

• A 911 hang-up occurred at 3:09 p.m. on Pleasant View Road, Town of Seymour.

• A deputy helped unlock an vehicle at 4 p.m. on Alma Street in Benton.

• A deputy helped unlock a vehicle at 4:30 p.m. on Hill Street in Darlington.

• Jonathon Thiering, 37, South Beloit, Ill., was cited at 4:44 p.m. for speeding on Wis. 11 in Benton.

• A suspicious vehicle was reported at 8:24 p.m. on County G, Town of Willow Springs.

• A traffic complaint was reported at 8:38 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Gratiot.

On Saturday:

• An emergency telephone call was made at 2:17 a.m. on County W, Town of New Diggings.

• A traffic complaint was made at 2:54 a.m. on Wis. 11 in South Wayne.

• Debris in the roadway was reported at 6:23 a.m. on County M, Town of Darlington.

• Criminal damage to property was reported at 9:36 a.m. on East Truth Street in Shullsburg.

• Animal neglect was reported at 9:55 a.m. on County G, Town of Kendall.

• Livestock on the roadway was reported at 11:22 a.m. on Dry Bone Road, Town of Shullsburg.

• A civil complaint was reported at 12:05 p.m. on County Y, Town of Wiota.

• An animal running at large was reported at 12:40 p.m. on North Road, Town of Wiota.

• Livestock on the roadway was reported at 3:12 p.m. on Wis. 23 in Darlington.

• Timothy Lansing, 36, Springville, Iowa, was cited for driving an ATV in spite of authorized signs on the Cheese Country Trail in Belmont.

• A foreign substance on the roadway was reported at 5:05 p.m. on Truman Road, Town of Kendall.

• Deputies checked an individual's welfare at 8:49 p.m. on Old Q Road, Town of Argyle. The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources assisted on scene.

• A suspicious vehicle was reported at 9 p.m. on Dry Bone Road, Town of Shullsburg.

On Sunday:

• A traffic complaint was made at 12:13 a.m. on County W, Town of White Oak Springs.

• A deputy checked an individual's welfare at 2:13 a.m. on South Lafayette Street in Argyle.

• Deputies assisted Darlington Police at 2:16 a.m. on Wells Street in Darlington.

• Livestock on the roadway was reported at 9:14 a.m. on Center Drive Road, Town of Seymour.

• An emergency telephone call was made at 11:31 a.m. on East Main Street in Shullsburg.

• Livestock on the roadway was reported at 1:40 p.m. on North Lake Road, Town of Blanchard.

• Joshua Turner, 32, Shullsburg, was arrested at 3:32 p.m. on Ridge Road, Town of New Diggings on a charge of disorderly conduct after deputies responded to a report of a domestic dispute. Turner was released on a cash bond.

• Francis Deutsch, 81, Belmont, was arrested at 4:42 p.m. on Pleasant View Road, Town of Seymour on a charge of disorderly conduct after deputies responded to a report of a domestic dispute. Deutsch was released on a cash bond.

• A traffic complaint was made at 6:46 p.m. on Wis. 11 in South Wayne.

• Livestock on the roadway was reported at 7:36 p.m. on County J, Town of Benton.
