Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD - For the week of Oct. 4 to Oct. 10, there were 26 citizen assists, 26 security checks, 17 registrations, nine assists of other agencies, six traffic stops, seven EMS calls and five 911 calls.

On Oct. 4:

• A 50-year-old Brodhead man and a 39-year-old Albany man were cited at 12:40 a.m. in the 900 block of West Exchange Street after a report of two people fighting.

• Police issued warnings at 2:33 a.m. to two taverns in the 1000 block of 1st Center Avenue for being open past bar curfew.

• A 43-year-old Brodhead man was arrested at 2:48 a.m. in the 2100 block of 1st Center Avenue on second offense charges of operating while intoxicated and driving without a valid license and with an additional citation for unsafe lane deviation.

• A 20-year-old Brodhead man was arrested at 7:58 a.m. in 1200 block of 17th Street on charges of domestic disorderly conduct and domestic battery. He was jailed.

On Oct. 6:

• A 35-year-old Brodhead man and a 62-year-old Brodhead woman were cited at 5:42 p.m. in the 1006 block of 21st Street for trespassing.

On Wednesday:

• A dog bite was reported at 7:25 p.m. in the 500 block of East Exchange Street. The Green County Health Department was notified.

• A disturbance was reported at 7:23 p.m. in the 300 block of 23rd Street. Police contacted an individual and issued a warning for disorderly conduct.

On Saturday:

• A gas drive-off was reported at 1:07 p.m. in the 1100 block of 1st Center Avenue. Police are seeking an individual to question.



New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS - On Oct. 5:

• John P. Anderson, 38, Mount Horeb, was cited at 10:18 a.m. at the intersection of Wisconsin 69 and 11th Avenue for a seatbelt violation.

• An illegal burning complaint was made at 4:29 p.m. in the 1000 block of 2nd Street.

• A driving complaint was made at 5:47 p.m. for a vehicle entering the village. Police assisted the Green County Sheriff's Department, but the vehicle was not found.

• An out-of-control juvenile was reported at 8:02 p.m. in the W4100 block of County W. Police assisted the Green County Sheriff's Department.

• Police removed a traffic hazard at 10:32 p.m. in the 10 block of 6th Avenue. The source of the hazard was not determined.

On Oct. 6:

• A cell phone was found at 4:11 p.m. in the 500 block of 1st Street and was returned to its owner.

• A cell phone was reported stolen at 4:38 p.m. in the 1700 block of 2nd Street. The incident remains under investigation.

• William Lounsbury, 44, Belleville, was cited at 6:12 p.m. for a seatbelt violation and for driving without vehicle insurance.

• Police unlocked a vehicle at 6:35 p.m. in the 400 block of 2nd Street.

• Police assisted a citizen at 8:22 in the 300 block of Heidi Court.

• A child custody dispute was reported at 9:31 p.m. in the 500 block of 5th Street.

On Wednesday:

• A parking violation was reported at 10:02 a.m. in 1400 block of Wis. 69.

• A vehicle was cited at 10:41 a.m. in the 100 block of 2nd Street for a parking violation.

• A vehicle was cited at 1 p.m. in the 200 block of Industrial Drive for parking in a no parking zone.

• Police provided directions to a person at 1:42 p.m. in the 700 block of 2nd Street.

• Possible unopened bottles of alcohol were reported at 9:19 p.m. in the 10 block of 4th Avenue. Upon investigation, the bottles were found to be empty and were disposed of.

• Mark R. Brockberg, 45, Onalaska, was cited at 11:20 p.m. in the 1000 block of Wis. 69 for speeding.

On Thursday:

• Police received an email at 8:15 a.m. regarding a property dispute between individuals. The email's sender was advised it was civil issue.

• Police assisted another police department at 9:11 a.m. in locating a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run collision.

• A person was reported falling at 7:27 p.m. in the 700 block of 2nd Street. Upon assessment, EMS was requested for further assistance.

• Police assisted Monticello Police at 8:12 p.m. to investigate an unsecured business in the Village of Monticello.

On Friday:

• A fox running at large was reported at 2:02 p.m. in the Village of New Glarus. Police are aware of foxes within the village and have received no reports of negative contacts with the animals.

• Police removed several traffic hazards at 9:30 p.m. in the 10 block of 6th Avenue.

• Police spoke with the driver of an illegally parked bus at 11:22 p.m. in the 10 block of 6th Avenue. The bus was removed.

On Saturday:

• Jesse W. Bodenmann, 22, Belleville, was cited at 2:40 a.m. in the 200 block of 5th Avenue for driving without vehicle insurance after police observed an equipment violation.

• Police provided directions to a person at 5:50 p.m. in the 1400 block of Wis. 69.

• Lee R. Hubanks, 33, Verona, was cited at 6:07 p.m. in 700 block of 6th Avenue for illegal window tint.

• A vehicle was cited at 6:54 p.m. in the 10 block of 7th Avenue for illegal parking.

• Police assisted a concerned citizen at 7:28 p.m. in the 10 block of 6th Avenue.

On Sunday:

• Police assisted the Green County Sheriff's Department at 12:27 a.m. in the N9600 block of Wis. 69 with removing an animal carcass from the roadway.

• Police assisted a concerned citizen at 8:34 a.m. in the 500 block of 1st Street.

• Tammy R. Rhiner, 54, Mount Horeb, was cited at 9:30 a.m. in the 1000 block of Wis. 69 for speeding.

• Police assisted the Green County Sheriff's Department at 12:30 p.m. with a residential burglar alarm triggered in the Town of New Glarus.
