Albany Police

ALBANY - Allen M. Carstensen, 21, Albany, was arrested Tuesday, Oct. 30, on a charge of obstructing an officer and on a warrant issued by the Green County Sheriff's Department.

• Corbin G. Hamilton, 20, Albany, was cited Saturday, Nov. 3, for driving with a suspended license.

Monroe Police

MONROE - Marquis Mekhi-Isaiah Mayo, aka Marquis Mekhi-Isaiah Phiffer, 18, Monroe, was arrested in the 100 block of 19th Street at 6:29 a.m. Friday, Nov. 2, on a Wisconsin Department of Corrections apprehension order.

• Zachery Topp, 24, Monroe, was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated (first offense) at 2:37 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, in the 1300 block of 20th Avenue. He was also cited for driving with a prohibited blood-alcohol concentration and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released to a responsible person pending court.

• Darrius C. Burnett, 31, and Murrell Martin, 34, both of Chicago, were arrested in the 1600 block of 11th Street at 2:50 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3. Burnett was taken into custody on a warrant issued by the Green County Sheriff's Department for failure to appear in court on a charge of marijuana possession. He was also cited for obstructing an officer. He was jailed. Martin was taken into custody on a warrant issued by the Beloit Police Department for driving without a valid license. He posted cash bond and was released.

• Mateo Macias-Landa, 24, Monroe, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct, battery, false imprisonment and strangulation at 3:56 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, after police responded to a call from a child about a disturbance at a home in the 700 block of 17th Street. Macias-Landa reportedly choked a 43-year-old woman and wouldn't let her leave. He signed a signature bond of $2,500 the following day in Green County Circuit Court. His preliminary hearing is Nov. 21.

• Brandi L. Carpenter, 33, and Jacqueline J. Siegel, 39, both of Monroe, were cited for battery outside a bar in the 1300 block of 17th Street at about 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4. The two women were reportedly fighting each other about a shared ex-boyfriend/ex-husband. Police were dispatched to the same location about an hour and a half later. This time, Carpenter was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct after she reportedly got into a fight with the aforementioned ex. She posted bond and was released.

• A truancy citation is pending against a 16-year-old Monroe male following a report taken at 7:29 a.m. Friday, Nov. 2, at Monroe High School.

• The owner of two dogs was warned to keep them on a shorter leash after her dogs attacked a dog being walked in the 2100 block of 16th Avenue at 10:56 a.m. Friday, Nov. 2. The attacked dog was injured.

• A resident in the 1200 block of 14th Street has been trapping feral or stray cats in a garage and called police at 12:33 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, to request that the Green County Humane Society come take them. Police informed the resident the Humane Society does not take in feral cats.

• A woman in the 700 block of 20th Avenue called police at 1:23 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, to report receiving harassing phone calls from an ex-boyfriend. Police warned the ex to stop and advised the woman to get a new number.

• A ring and a ring box were found near the airplane in Twining Park at 5:29 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, and turned over to police. To claim, stop by the police station or call (608) 329-2400.

• The ongoing presence of a large red fox in a backyard in the 1000 block of 4th Street North was reported at 11:31 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 4. A resident told police the fox has been killing rabbits.

• A dog owner in the 2100 block of 11th Street was warned at 1:23 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, for allowing the animal to run at large.

New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS - Linda J. Preston, 68, New Glarus, was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated (first offense) following a traffic stop on Valley View Road at 7:14 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28.

• Shane D. Riley, 26, New Glarus, was arrested at 2:16 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, on an active warrant issued by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. He was jailed.

• Daniel F. Molden, 42, Madison, was cited for retail theft Monday, Oct. 29, after police investigated a theft at a business on Wisconsin 69 that occurred Oct. 25. Restitution for the stolen items was recovered.

• John J. L. Williams, 17, New Glarus, was cited for driving with a suspended license at 11:10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, in the 100 block of 2nd Street.

• David C. Falk, 29, Madison, was stopped on 2nd Street at 3rd Avenue for having an expired vehicle registration at 2:16 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1. He was cited for that offense plus displaying an unauthorized registration and driving with a revoked license and without vehicle insurance.

• Jeremy M. Wipperfurth, 35, Hillsboro, was cited for speeding in the 1400 block of Wis. 69 at 8:19 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2.

• Sharita L. Touray, 27, Madison, was cited for speeding 40 mph in a 25 mph zone and driving with a suspended registration and license at 2:16 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, in the 1700 block of 2nd Street.

• Shane E. Stoffels, 21, Verona, was cited for non-registration of a vehicle at 7:46 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, in the 500 block of 6th Avenue.

• At 10:35 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, police responded to a complaint that a business on Wis. 69 had been egged at 1:27 a.m. that morning, as seen on video surveillance.

Darlington Police

• Francisco Martinez-Herrera, 20, Darlington, was arrested Saturday, Nov. 3, on Louisa Street on a charge of driving while intoxicated. He was also cited for driving without a valid license or vehicle insurance. He was released pending court.

Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Manuel Ibarra-Duran, 24, Beloit, was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated at 8:33 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, after deputies responded to a complaint of an erratic driver in the area. Ibarra-Duran was stopped for speeding in the W600 block of Wisconsin 81 in the Town of Spring Grove. He was also cited for speeding and driving with a prohibited blood-alcohol concentration and no valid license. He was released to a responsible person pending court.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - Josiah R. Creasey, 25, Mineral Point, was arrested on charges of possessing drug paraphernalia and violating parole following a traffic stop at 8:14 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, on County G in the Town of Willow Springs. He was jailed. Two passengers were cited: Kelly L. Silvers, 17, Linden, for having open intoxicants in a vehicle and transporting alcohol as a minor, and Lance T. McGuire, 28, Darlington, for having open intoxicants in a vehicle.

• Dillon R. Hohler, 17, Mineral Point, was cited for driving without vehicle insurance at 11:40 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, after a deputy responded to a vehicle in the ditch on U.S. 151 in the Town of Belmont. Hohler was northbound when he lost control of the vehicle. He was uninjured. His vehicle was towed from the scene. Belmont police assisted at the scene.

• Brandon M. Ohms, 32, Plainfield, Ill., was cited for speeding on Wis. 11 in the Town of Shullsburg at 8:37 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3.

• Travis G. Halverson, 25, Montfort, was cited for speeding on Sunnydale Road in the Town of Belmont at 7:41 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3.
