Darlington Police

DARLINGTON - On Tuesday, Oct. 30:

• Miriam Janeth Garcia-Zepeda, 26, Darlington, was cited on Wisconsin 23 for driving without a valid license and for failing to have vehicle insurance.

• Dustin W. Heyer, 32, Darlington, was cited on Main Street for driving an unregistered vehicle and for failing to have vehicle insurance.

• Marena R. Bahena, 21, Darlington, was arrested at a business on Wis. 23 on a warrant issued by Lafayette County. She was jailed.

Monroe Police

MONROE - On Tuesday, Oct. 30:

• Elizabeth A. Bauman, 65, Monroe, was cited for failure to yield right-of-way at a stop sign after police responded at 3:22 p.m. to a two-vehicle accident with no injuries at 11th Street and 16th Avenue. Bauman collided with a vehicle driven by Dale A. Amacher, 51, Monroe.

• A purse and its contents were reported stolen from a residence in the 800 block of 9th Street at 8:58 a.m. There was no sign of forced entry.

• Police are investigating a case of child abuse/neglect reported at 12:34 p.m. in the 500 block of West 21st Street.

• A person in the 700 block of 16th Avenue reported at 1:22 p.m. that the rear windshield wiper on a vehicle had been damaged, perhaps by someone trying to pull it off.

• A woman in the 1200 block of 9th Street reported receiving harassing phone calls from an unknown male caller whose number comes up as blocked on her phone. The caller is usually silent but in his most recent call he said, "Hello, you are so sexy."

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Tuesday, Oct. 30:

• Casey J. Bennett, 25, Benton, was arrested on Main Street in Benton at 12:56 p.m. on a valid warrant issued by the Grant County Sheriff's Department. He was turned over to Grant County deputies.

• Jeremy B. Saunders, 27, Warren, Ill., was cited for speeding at 9:01 a.m. on County W in the Town of Monticello.

• A cement donkey lawn ornament was reported stolen from a residence on County XX in the Town of Belmont at 9:55 a.m.

• A mailbox was reported stolen from a residence on Horseshoe Bend Road in the Town of New Diggings at 6:19 p.m.

• A deputy responded at 6:35 p.m. to Hilldale Road in the Town of New Diggings for a trespassing complaint.

Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Thomas A. Voight, 64, Monroe, was cited for failure to yield right-of-way when making a left turn following a two-vehicle crash reported at 1:43 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, at the Argyle/Monroe interchange on Wisconsin 11/81. Voight turned his pickup truck into the path of a car driven by James P. Schmelzer, Jr., 30, Brodhead, and the two vehicles collided. Schmelzer's car was extensively damaged and towed. Voight's pickup sustained severe damage and was also towed. Monroe police assisted at the scene.
