Monroe Police

MONROE - The theft of several electric motors was reported at 8:33 a.m. Wednesday, May 2, by Green County Electric, Inc., 809 19th St. The motors had been stored behind the business. The case is still under investigation.

- A case of identity theft was reported at 11:25 a.m. Wednesday, May 2, by Orchid International, 350 21st St. The case is still under investigation.

Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Nicholas J. Roth, 32, Albany, was cited for driving with a revoked license at 12:09 a.m. Wednesday, May 2, on County EE at County X in the Town of Albany.

- Amos W. Byers, 25, South Wayne, was cited for driving a vehicle with a projecting load after deputies responded at 6:08 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, to a two-vehicle crash in the N3200 block of County M in the Town of Jordan. Byers was reportedly pulling a piece of a equipment with scaffolding projecting from the driver's side. A driver in the opposing lane, Gregory O. Sharp, 57, Monroe, was struck by the projecting load. The collision caused damage to Byers' scaffolding but none to his truck or trailer. Sharp's truck was severely damaged and towed from the scene. All involved reported seatbelt use and no injuries.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - Jeffrey T. Neubauer, 21, Monroe, was arrested on a Department of Corrections apprehension warrant at 2:48 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, during a traffic stop on County B in the Town of Wayne. He was also cited for speeding and for driving an uninsured vehicle. He was turned over to the Green County Sheriff's Department at the request of the probation agency.

- Kim M. Slater, 43, Shullsburg, was taken into custody at 8:27 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, on a valid warrant issued by Lafayette County for failure to pay a fine on a worthless check citation. She was transported to jail, where she posted bond and was released.
