Albany Police

ALBANY - Michael S. Harnish, 39, Monroe, was cited Sunday, May 13, for driving with a suspended license.

- A 17-year-old Albany student was cited Monday, May 7, for truancy.

- A 17-year-old Albany student was cited Tuesday, May 8, for possession of tobacco on school property.

Belleville Police

BELLEVILLE - Douglas R. Myers, 39, Belleville, was arrested at 9:23 p.m. Monday, April 30, on an outstanding warrant issued by the Dane County Sheriff's Department for driving while intoxicated.

- Leif J. Hanson, 33, of rural Belleville, was arrested at 10:36 p.m. Thursday, May 10, on an outstanding warrant issued by Rock County for a battery charge after officers responded to a report of a subject in dark clothing walking on Wisconsin 69.

- A fight in front of a business on Main Street was reported at 2:44 a.m. Saturday, May 5. A person reportedly kicked and damaged a vehicle, and when confronted by the vehicle's owner, punched him. The victim declined medical attention. The case remains under investigation.

Monroe Police

MONROE - Police are investigating a report at 9:08 a.m. Friday, May 11, of harassment involving text messages between two students at Monroe Middle School, 1510 13th St.

- A dog walker was warned at 5:50 p.m. Friday, May 11, at Recreation Park, 1700 22nd Ave., that having pets in the park violates city code. About an hour later, the dog walker called police to report another dog-walking offender at the park.

- An employee at McDonalds's, 425 8th St., reported at 9:24 p.m. Friday, May 11, that a teenager had broken a robot toy in the restaurant's Playland. The teen's parents told police they would cover the repair bill.

- A dog owner was warned to quiet their barking dogs at 9:59 p.m. Friday, May 11, in the 2000 block of 14th Avenue.

- A landscape block was reportedly thrown through the main front window of a residence in the 800 block of 22nd Street, shattering the glass and causing significant damage, at about 10:20 p.m. Friday, May 11. The vandal could not be located.

- Property owners were issued warnings Friday, May 11, to mow grass in yards in the 600 block of 8th Avenue, 1800 block of 20th Street Court and 1500 block of 11th Avenue.

- Police took a report at 10:14 a.m. Saturday, May 12, that a moped in the 2100 block of 8th Avenue had been intentionally pushed over, causing minor damage.

- Police warned three male juveniles at 5:58 p.m. Saturday, May 12, for using foul language and calling young children names in Recreation Park, 1700 22nd Ave.

- The death of a duck was reported at 1:23 p.m. Sunday, May 13, in the 800 block of 6th Street. Police disposed of the carcass. The duck was likely hit by a vehicle, according to police.

- The theft of a white porcelain stand and gazing ball from a yard in the 900 block of 3rd Street was reported at 10:33 a.m. Sunday, May 13.

- A dog owner was warned to quiet barking dogs at 7:35 p.m. Sunday, May 13, in the 300 block of 2nd Street.

- A gas drive-off of $28.05 was reported at about 7:45 a.m. Friday, May 11, at a gas station in the 1600 block of 9th Street.

New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS - Neilvontay J. Grant, 26, Madison was cited for a child safety restraint violation, for a child under the age of 4, at 11:46 p.m. Monday, May 7, after police stopped her at an unspecified location for driving a vehicle with a defective head lamp.

- Tommie E. Shelton, 65, Columbia, S.C., was cited for speeding at 11:32 a.m. Sunday, May 13, in the 100 block of Wisconsin 69.

- Police responded to several complaints Thursday, May 10, that a suspicious person was going door-to-door claiming to represent area cable companies, asking if residents were interested in upgrading their cable services and asking for personal information. The person was operating without a New Glarus Village Transient Merchant Permit, told to stop going door-to-door and left the village.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - Jamison R. Schumacher, 18, Belmont, was taken into custody at 11:09 a.m. Friday, May 11, on a probation apprehension warrant at a residence on West Wisconsin Avenue in Belmont. He was jailed.

- Dakota A. Sanders, 18, Monroe, was taken into custody on Wisconsin 11 in the Town of Gratiot at 7:21 p.m. Friday, May 11, after a deputy stopped a vehicle reported as stolen from Green County. He was turned over to the custody of the Green County Sheriff's Department.

- John R. Emery, 31, Argyle, was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated at 6:57 p.m. Sunday, May 13, after deputies responded to a report of a vehicle found parked in a residential yard on Kipfer Lane in the Town of Argyle. The caller reported the driver had not hit anything and appeared to have pulled into the yard to park. Emery was also cited for keeping open intoxicants in a vehicle and later released to a responsible adult. Argyle police assisted at the scene.

- Genevieve M. Shepherd, 22, Lindon, was cited for speeding at 7:35 a.m. Friday, May 11, on Wis. 11 in the Town of Shullsburg.

- Christopher M. Haag, 36, Lindenhurst, Ill., was cited for speeding at 6:48 p.m. Friday, May 11, on Wis. 11 in the Town of Shullsburg.

- Eric F. Lunderskov, 22, Burlington, was cited for speeding at 10:57 p.m. Saturday, May 12, on Wis. 11 in the Town of Shullsburg.

- Michael A. Becker, 19, Blanchardville, was cited for non-registration of a vehicle and driving without vehicle insurance at 11:27 p.m. Saturday, May 12, on Wisconsin 78 in the Town of Argyle.

- Patrick D. Doan, 17, Belmont, was cited for operating left of center at 5:58 p.m. Sunday, May 13, following a two-vehicle crash on County XX in the Town of Belmont. Doan was reportedly driving across the centerline, and his driver's side mirror hit a motorcycle driven by Lydra A. Moody, 47, Belmont. Moody lost control of the motorcycle, which veered into the ditch and rolled onto its side. Both drivers reported minor injuries but declined medical treatment at the scene. The vehicles were moderately damaged and driven from the scene.

- Travis L. Hohensee, 39, Dubuque, Iowa, was cited for driving with no valid license at 10:03 p.m. Sunday, May 13, on Wis. 11 in the Town of New Diggings.

Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Joseph Ruegsegger, 18, Monroe, was arrested on charges of felony bail jumping, stalking and criminal trespass to a dwelling at 4:42 p.m. Saturday, May 12, after deputies responded to the N1900 block of Wisconsin 69 in the Town of Clarno to investigate a report of a violation of bond conditions. Ruegsegger was jailed.

- Aaron Summers, 23, Albany, was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated with a passenger under the age of 16 at 2:18 p.m. Saturday, May 12, after deputies responded to County E and Proverbs Pass Road in the Town of Albany for a report of an occupied vehicle in the ditch. Summers told deputies he swerved to avoid colliding with a deer and veered into the ditch. Summers and his passenger, a small child, were wearing seatbelts and were not injured. Summers was also cited for driving with a suspended license and driving a vehicle without proof of insurance. The vehicle was moderately damaged and removed from the scene by a family member. Summers was released to a responsible person pending court.
