ALBANY POLICE

ALBANY - Cody L. Calkins, 20, Albany, was arrested Sunday for disorderly conduct with a dangerous weapon.



BRODHEAD POLICE

BRODHEAD - For the week of March 13 to March 19 there were 132 calls for service, 25 citizen assists, 21 security checks, 20 registrations, 12 calls to 911, eight traffic stops, eight EMS calls and seven assists of other agencies.

On March 13, police issued a warning at 3:02 a.m. to a tavern operating after hours.

On March 14:

• Police issued a warning at 12:47 p.m. to an animal owner in the 600 block of West 3rd Avenue for an excessive amount of dog feces in the yard. The owner was given 10 days to remove the offending waste.

• A gas drive-off occurred at 2:03 p.m. in the 2400 block of 1st Center Avenue. The offender returned to pay for the gas.

• A barking dog was reported at 4:13 p.m. in the 800 block of 1st Center Avenue. The animal's owner was issued a warning.

• A 25-year-old male was arrested at 7:53 p.m. for domestic disorderly conduct in the 400 block of East 5th Avenue.

On March 15, a 42-year-old Monroe woman was cited at 6:28 p.m. for speeding in the 600 block of 1st Street.

On Wednesday, police issued 10 warnings for truancy in the 2500 block of West 5th Avenue.

On Friday:

• A window was reported damaged at 7:35 a.m. in the 1200 block of West 3rd Avenue. The matter remains under investigation.

• A barking dog was reported at 2:45 p.m. in the 600 block of 1st Center Avenue. The animal's owner was issued a warning.

• Police cited a vehicle at 10:34 p.m. for parking against traffic in the 700 block of East 4th Avenue.

On Saturday:

• A 36-year-old Texas man was arrested at 7:58 a.m. on a first-offense charge of driving while intoxicated in the 1100 block of 1st Center Avenue.

• A 55-year-old Brodhead man was arrested at 2:14 p.m. for a probation violation in the 1000 block of 1st Center Avenue.

• A 53-year-old Monroe woman was arrested at 9:28 p.m. for driving while intoxicated (fourth offense), and was cited for driving with a revoked license, possessing open intoxicants in a vehicle, failure to stop at a stop sign and having a defective tail light. The woman was jailed.



MONROE POLICE

MONROE - On Friday:

• Skylar J. Martin, 22, Monroe, was arrested at 12:15 a.m. for domestic disorderly conduct, false imprisonment, battery and bail jumping in the 700 block of 20th Street. Martin was jailed.

• David A. Nolte, 22, Brodhead, was cited at 12:48 a.m. for disorderly conduct after a disturbance was reported in the 1300 block of 17th Street. Nolte was banned from the premises for the remainder of the evening.

• Melissa J. Rebout, 29, Beloit, and Deserie C. Holst, 25, Monroe, were cited at 3:15 p.m. for disorderly conduct after an altercation was reported in the 400 block of West 21st Street.



NEW GLARUS POLICE

NEW GLARUS - On March 14:

• Police assisted a citizen who had been stuck by a fishhook in a residence at 12:36 p.m. The hook was extracted and the person sought medical treatment.

• A cell phone was reported stolen from the village park at 5:04 p.m. An investigation identified a juvenile suspect and the phone was retrieved.

On March 15:

• A 911 call was made at 10:59 a.m. intake 600 block of Railroad Street. The call was found to have been accidental.

• A black-colored chicken was reported escaping from a residence at 4:42 p.m. A neighbor later reported two juveniles had caught the chicken and carried it away. Anybody with information about the chicken's whereabouts is encouraged to contact the police department.

• Shawn A. Wahler, 47, Monroe, was cited at 6:06 p.m. for driving with a revoked license and a seatbelt violation on Wisconsin 69.

• Police helped unlock a vehicle at 9:17 p.m. in the 600 block of 2nd Avenue.

On Wednesday:

• Police retrieved a dog running at large in the village at 9:06 a.m. before returning it to its owner.

• A light pole was reported blown over by the wind at 1:12 p.m. New Glarus utilities removed the pole and set up a temporary stop sign to replace one that was mounted on the pole.

• Police observed a dog running at large at 1:36 p.m. in the 600 block of Wis. 69. The dog was caught and returned to its owner.

• A theft was reported at 3:06 p.m. in the village. Police identified a juvenile suspect and notified a parent.

• A skunk was reported in a residential area at 4:54 p.m. near 13th Avenue. The animal was removed.

On Thursday:

• A theft from a vehicle was reported at 12:59 p.m. in the 400 block of 6th Street. Police encourage residents to keep vehicles locked when they are unoccupied.

• A victim began reporting a theft at 5:04 p.m. but left the police department before completing the statement. The matter remains under investigation.

• Police spoke with a juvenile at 6:23 p.m. regarding some possibly inappropriate actions in the 300 block of Railroad Street.

On Friday:

• Police investigated a cloud of smoke at 6:49 p.m. in the area of Edelweiss Road. It was determined to have most likely originated from an old tractor.

• Police cleared debris from the roadway at 7:17 p.m. in the 1300 block of Elmer Road.

• Jose T. Espinoza-Olvera, 27, New Glarus, was cited at 8:41 p.m. for driving without a valid license, without vehicle insurance and having illegal window tinting at the intersection of 2nd Street and 7th Avenue.

On Saturday:

• A dog left in an unoccupied vehicle was reported at 1:10 p.m. in the 200 block of Industrial Drive. The vehicle had left the area by the time officers arrived.

• Donald G. Casey, 46, Blanchardville, was cited at 3:07 p.m. for driving with a suspended license, and without vehicle insurance on 6th Avenue.

• Theft from a vehicle was reported having occurred on Wednesday night. Police again encourage residents to lock unoccupied vehicles.

• A suspicious vehicle was reported at 7:37 p.m. in the 200 block of 3rd Avenue. The vehicle was removed.

• New Glarus Police assisted the Green County Sheriff at 8:21 p.m. with a traffic stop in the 1400 block of Wis. 69.

• Cory A. Kelly, 46, Brooklyn, was cited at 11:37 p.m. for speeding in the 1300 block of 6th Avenue.

On Sunday:

• Eric L. Gobeli, 45, New Glarus, was arrested at 2:03 a.m. for driving while intoxicated in the 600 block of Wis. 69. Gobeli was also cited for speeding and driving without vehicle insurance.

• Denise R. Hornes, 54, Oregon, was cited at 9:37 a.m. for a seatbelt violation on Wis. 69.

• John R. Chenoweth, 34, Albany, was cited at 4:49 p.m. for a seatbelt violation, driving without vehicle insurance and with an expired license on Wis. 69.

On Monday, 10 cows were reported in the roadway at 12:33 a.m. in the N9500 block of Wis. 69. The cows were returned to their owner.



GREEN COUNTY SHERIFF

MONROE - On Saturday:

• Brandon J. Fischer, 30, Orangeville, was arrested at 2 a.m. for driving while intoxicated (first offense). Fischer was also cited for speeding, driving without vehicle insurance, driving without a valid license and possession of drug paraphernalia. Fischer was released pending court.

• Christopher W. Willis, 38, Monroe, was arrested at 2:03 a.m. for driving while intoxicated (first offense). Willis was also cited for speeding and driving with open intoxicants in a vehicle. Willis was released pending court.



LAFAYETTE COUNTY SHERIFF

DARLINGTON - On Friday:

• Deputies checked an individual's welfare at 12:11 a.m. on Main Street in Gratiot.

• A deputy responded at 2:56 a.m. to a traffic complaint on County KK.

• Animal neglect was reported at 10 a.m. on Wis. 78, Town of Argyle.

• A 911 misdial occurred at 10:40 a.m. on Spring Brook Road, Town of Wiota.

• A highway hazard was reported at 3:01 p.m. on Prairie Road, Town of Kendall.

• A harassment complaint was made at 3:20 p.m. on Apple Branch Road, Town of Belmont.

• Ilona A. Nowosad, 51, Delavan, was cited at 5:15 p.m. on speeding on Wis. 81, Town of Darlington.

• Suspicious activity was reported at 8:15 p.m. on Jackson Road, Town of Shullsburg.

• Suspicious activity was reported at 10:07 p.m. on County K, Town of Darlington.

On Saturday:

• Suspicious activity was reported at 1:55 a.m. on West Milwaukee Street in Argyle.

• A deputy checked an individual's welfare at 3:45 a.m. on West Center Street in South Wayne.

• A deputy helped unlock a vehicle at 8:37 a.m. on East Prospect Street in Shullsburg.

• Littering was reported at 3:15 p.m. on Jefferson Road, Town of Benton.

• A deputy assisted the Grant County Sheriff at 3:25 p.m. on Laird Lane, Town of Benton.

• Verela F. Ochoa, 32, Darlington, was cited at 5:57 p.m. for driving with a suspended license on Wis. 11 in South Wayne.

• Andrew J. Turpin, 19, Darlington, was cited at 6:51 p.m. for driving with a suspended license and an expired vehicle registration on Summit Road, Town of Shullsburg.

• Randall S. Zuber, 38, South Wayne, was arrested at 7:08 p.m. on a probation violation on West Center Street in South Wayne. Zuber was jailed.

• A burglary was reported at 10:54 p.m. on County K, Town of Darlington.

On Sunday:

• Ramiz Shabani, 34, Belmont, was arrested at 1:25 a.m. for disorderly conduct after a domestic dispute was reported on South Park Street in Belmont. Shabani was released on bond.

• A traffic complaint was made at 8:43 a.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Elk Grove.

• An attempted burglary was reported at 8:49 a.m. on Old Q Road, Town of Blanchard.

• A 911 misdial occurred at 12:23 p.m. on Swanson Road, Town of Willow Springs.

• Livestock on the roadway was reported at 3:36 p.m. on County O, Town of Kendall.

• Livestock on the roadway was reported at 5:04 p.m. on County J. Town of Benton.

• Suspicious activity was reported at 5:25 p.m. on East Main Street in Benton.

• Deputies checked an individual's welfare at 7:05 p.m. on West Water Street in Shullsburg.

• Livestock on the roadway was reported at 9:16 p.m. on Wis. 78, Town of Wiota.

• A domestic dispute was reported at 9:55 p.m. on County XX, Town of Belmont.

• Angel Herrera-Turiso, 27, Mineral Point, was cited at 11:31 p.m. for driving without a valid license on County G, Town of Belmont.
