Monroe Police

MONROE - On Thursday:

• Cody D.D. Sweet, 26, Janesville, was arrested at 5:38 p.m. in the 2200 block of 1st Street on a Green County Sheriff's Department warrant for failure to pay a fine on a disorderly conduct charge. Sweet was jailed pending court.

• Police and State Line Area Narcotics Agents executed a search warrant in the 2200 block of 1st Street, resulting in two arrests. The search warrant stemmed from an officer detecting the presence of illegal substances in the residence while investigating an unrelated complaint. Andrew J. Martin, 34, Monroe, was arrested at 9:24 p.m. for possession of cocaine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. During the same incident, Alana M. Olson, 29, Monroe, was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Police Chief Fred Kelley said the incidents were unrelated. Kelley said "not minuscule but smaller amounts" of both marijuana and cocaine were found at the residence. Both subjects were jailed pending court.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - On Thursday:

• Breana R. Meli, 41, Freeport, was arrested at 4:46 a.m. in the W400 block of Wisconsin 11, Town of Spring Grove, on a Rock County warrant for contempt of court. Meli was stopped by deputies for a defective headlight and they found she had an active warrant from Rock County. Meli was unable to post bond and was turned over to a Rock County deputy and transported to the Rock County Jail.

• Jeremy D. Schaefer, Blanchardville, 34, was arrested at 5:50 p.m. for domestic abuse-related disorderly conduct and battery after deputies responded to a domestic dispute in the W8300 block of Prairie View Road, Town of Adams. Schaefer was taken to jail where he posted bond and was released pending court.

• Frederick R.D. Veeder, Albany, 40, was arrested at 7:29 p.m. at a rural Albany residence and jailed on a probation hold. Deputies assisted Albany police in locating Veeder.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Thursday:

• A deputy checked the welfare of an individual at 2:05 p.m. on West Water Street, Shullsburg.

• A deputy responded at 7:50 p.m. to a report of livestock on the roadway on Wildcat Road, Darlington Township.
