DARLINGTON POLICE

DARLINGTON - On Friday, Michael Edl, 44, Blanchardville, was arrested at 12:10 p.m. for driving while intoxicated (third offense), and on an Iowa County warrant on Main Street.

On Saturday:

• Deidrick Rear, 34, Darlington, was arrested at 1:09 a.m. for disorderly conduct after a domestic disturbance was reported on Madison Street. Rear was released on bond.

• Mark Nelson, 45, Darlington, was arrested at 2:15 a.m. for felony battery after striking a woman in the head with a piece of wood at the campground. The woman was transported to a local hospital. Nelson was jailed.



NEW GLARUS POLICE

NEW GLARUS - On June 6:

• Bradley R. Krueger, 23, Monroe, was cited at 10:55 p.m. for driving without vehicle insurance in the 600 block of Wisconsin 69.

• Benjamin R. Castner, 25, Monroe, was cited at 11:16 p.m. for driving without vehicle insurance in the 600 block of Wis. 69.

On Wednesday:

• New Glarus Police assisted the Monticello Police at 1:35 a.m. with a case in Monticello.

• A disoriented pedestrian was reported at 11:31 a.m. in the 300 block of 7th Avenue.

• A disturbance in the New Glarus Public Library was reported at 6:40 p.m. after three boys were disorderly and refused to leave. The juveniles were identified and issued warnings.

• A child's bicycle and bicycle helmet was found at 9:56 p.m. in the 800 block of Elmer Road. The owner of the items is encouraged to contact the New Glarus Police Department at (608) 527-2145.

On Thursday:

• Adam T. Erbs, 23, Albany, was cited at 1:52 p.m. for a seatbelt violation and driving without vehicle insurance on Wis. 69.

• Hannah L. Johnson, 24, Albany, was cited at 2:18 p.m. for a seatbelt violation on Railroad Street.

• A door-to-door salesperson was reported at 4:37 p.m. in the 500 block of 14th Avenue. The salesperson could not be reported.

• A counterfeit bill was reported at 5:15 p.m. at a New Glarus business. The case remains under investigation and the United States Secret Service was notified.

• A suspicious vehicle was reported at 11:42 p.m. in the 1700 block of 2nd Street.

On Friday:

• Police assisted the Monticello Police at 8:47 a.m. with a wanted person at a residence in Monticello. The person could not be located.

• Suspicious activity was reported at 11:09 a.m. in the 1300 block of 3rd Street.

• Police issued warnings at 3:37 p.m. to parking violators in the 500 block of 1st Street.

• Carmen M. Schloesser, 35, New Glarus, was cited at 5:32 p.m. for a seatbelt violation on County W.

• Darick R. Belke, 27, Monroe, was cited at 6:27 p.m. for a seatbelt violation on County W.

• Sarah A. Foley, 27, Monticello, was cited at 8:12 p.m. for driving without vehicle insurance on Wis. 69.

On Saturday:

• Police checked an individual's welfare at 11:21 a.m. in the 10 block of 6th Avenue.

• Police assisted the driver of a stalled vehicle at 12:45 p.m. in the 200 block of 2nd Street.

• Police assisted a festival attendee at 12:52 p.m. with parking in the 500 block of Railroad Street.

• Police received an Illinois identification at 1:22 p.m. that was found at the New Glarus Beer, Bacon and Cheese Festival. The ID was returned to its owner.

• An improperly parked vehicle was reported at 2:26 p.m. in the 600 block of 2nd Street.

• Kayla R. Burkett, 28, Beaver Dam, was cited at 2:36 p.m. for speeding and driving with a suspended license in the 600 block of Wis. 69.

• Susan M. Sheets, 50, New Glarus, was cited at 3:21 p.m. for driving without vehicle insurance at the intersection of 11th Avenue and Wis. 69.

• Police received an iPhone at 4:53 p.m. that had been found in the 500 block of 1st Street. The owner was contacted and retrieved the phone.

• Two intoxicated people were reported at 4:57 p.m. in the 500 block of 11th Street. The pair was release to a responsible party.

• Elyse N. Benages, 26, West Chicago, was cited at 5:15 p.m. for speeding in the 600 block of Wis. 69.

• An intoxicated individual vomiting on the sidewalk was reported at 5:30 p.m. in the 500 block of 1st Street.

• Police investigated an unoccupied vehicle at 11:07 p.m. in the 1700 block of 2nd Street.

On Sunday:

• Police investigated a passed-out individual at 2:05 a.m. in the 500 block of 5th Avenue. Friends of the individual took the person home.

• People possibly slashing vehicle tires were reported at 2:44 a.m. in the 300 block of 4th Avenue. The people could not be located.

• Vandalism was reported at 12:25 p.m. in the 400 block of 2nd Street. The investigation is ongoing.

• A suspicious vehicle was reported at 12:55 p.m. in the 400 block of 2nd Street.
