DARLINGTON - Julius R. Schaeffer, 27, Darlington, was arrested at 5:30 p.m. Monday for possessing a controlled substance and a probation violation after police responded to a disturbance on Keep Street. He remains jailed.

DARLINGTON - On Tuesday:
Alex J. Abing, 22, Platteville, was cited for inattentive driving at 1:33 p.m. after police stopped him on County XX in the Town of Belmont.
Joseph R. Geach, 23, Warren, Ill., was arrested and jailed for possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia at 6:20 p.m. after police stopped him on Wisconsin 11 in the Town of Shullsburg for speeding. A passenger, Chaz T. McCrary, 22, Stockton, Ill., was also arrested and jailed for possessing drug paraphernalia. McCrary posted bond and was released. Geach remains jailed.
A civil dispute was reported at 2:34 a.m. on County H in the Town of Benton.
A vehicle being driven erratically was reported at 5:07 p.m. on Wis. 11 in the Town of New Diggins.
Suspicious activity was reported at 6:30 p.m. on County G in the Town of Calamine.
A suspicious vehicle was reported at 8:44 p.m. on Sheldon Street in Gratiot.
An animal bite was reported at 8:48 p.m. on West Mound Road in the Town of Belmont.
Lumber on the road was reported at 9:49 p.m. on Wis. 23 in the Town of Willow Springs. The Darlington Police Department assisted.
