Darlington Police

DARLINGTON - Rebecca D. Ritchie, 48, Darlington, was cited for driving without vehicle insurance at about 9:10 a.m. Sunday, July 22, following a traffic stop on Wisconsin 81.

- Wayne J. Brown, 48, Darlington, was cited for driving without proof of vehicle insurance at about 9:30 a.m. Sunday, July 22, following a traffic stop on Wis. 81.

- Leo P. Monton, 42, Darlington, was cited for driving without a valid license at about 10:30 a.m. Sunday, July 22, following a traffic stop on Center Hill Road.

Monroe Police

MONROE - Shelby James Peevyhouse and Deserie C. Holst, both 21 and of Monroe, were arrested on charges of disorderly conduct at 11:42 p.m. Monday, July 23, after police investigated a disturbance in Honey Creek Park in the 1000 block of 4th Avenue West. Holst was also arrested on a charge of battery and jailed. Peevyhouse was jailed on a warrant issued by the Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department (Miss.) on a felony drunk driving charge. The two had argued over a set of car keys, according to police, and the argument escalated. Very minor injuries and broken car windows were reported.

- An officer discovered at 2:45 a.m. Monday, July 23, that a street sign had been taken from the intersection of 16th Street and 14th Avenue.

- A black kitten was found in the parking lot of Walmart, 300 6th Ave. W., at 12:46 p.m. Monday, July 23, and taken to the Green County Humane Society.

- A dog bite was reported at 1:49 p.m. Monday, July 23, in the 1900 block of 10th Street.

- A notice was left for a resident in the 700 block of 10th Street at 2:08 p.m. Monday, July 23, to clean up truck parts and tires left in the yard.

- Two liquid propane tanks fell off a truck as it pulled out of a parking lot in the 500 block of 8th Avenue near Pizza Hut. Police retrieved the tanks at 7:56 p.m. Monday, July 23. To claim, call dispatch at (608) 329-2400.

- Two men kicked out of Friendly Inn, 1335 17th St., were told at 11:26 p.m. Monday, July 23, to leave the area after they started pounding on the doors of the bar. They complied and were not cited.
