Green County Sheriff

MONROE - At about 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, deputies investigated a battery to an inmate incident that occurred in the Green County Jail. Charges are pending.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - Jeffrey W. Habeck, 25, Argyle, was arrested for reckless endangering of safety at about 9 p.m. Tuesday, following a report of a domestic dispute incident on Green Street, Argyle. Green County Sheriff's Department also responded when it was learned a hand gun was displayed during the incident. Habeck remains jailed. Argyle Police Department is conducting an investigation into the incident.

• An 8-year-old was treated at a Dubuque hospital for injuries, following a report of a dog bite incident at about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday on Crawford Lane in Benton township. The case was turned over to the Lafayette County Health Department for follow-up.
