MONROE - Demetrius White, 20, Chicago, was arrested at 3:14 p.m. Thursday on charges of attempting to possess a controlled substance and attempting to obtain a prescription by fraud after an investigation into a fraud case that occurred in the 700 block of 8t Avenue. White was jailed.

DARLINGTON - On Thursday:
• Phillip J. Robinson, 28, Chicago, was arrested at 1:26 a.m. for speeding and driving without a valid license on County W, Town of White Oak Springs.
• A trespassing complaint was made at 11:07 a.m. on Broad Street in Argyle.
• John R. Hudson, 32, Monroe, was cited at 6:20 p.m. for driving without proof of vehicle insurance.
• Daniel R. Blair, 22, Nora, Illinois, was cited at 7 p.m. for speeding on County W, Town of Monticello.
• Robert J. Johnson, 32, Janesville, was cited at 8:02 p.m. for driving with a suspended license on Main Street in Benton.
• An injured animal was reported at 9:46 p.m. on County F, Town of Fayette.
