Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Tuesday Jan. 28:

• Kyle L. Monahan, 24, Shullsburg, was transported to Dodge Correctional Institute in Waupun at 6:02 a.m. Monahan was convicted of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle, Thursday Jan. 23. On the return trip, Kenneth A. McCluskey, 18, Highland was picked up at the Iowa County Jail and transported to Lafayette county for a court appearance. McCluskey was picked up on a bench warrant on Thursday, Jan. 23 for not showing up to court. He had a signature bond set at $1,500 at Lafayette County Court on Tuesday, Jan. 28.

• Deputies assisted with transporting a juvenile from the Rock County Juvenile Detention Center to a court appearance in Lafayette County at 7:30 a.m. The juvenile was returned to Rock County after court.

• A deputy responded to Prairie Road, Seymour Township, after a report was received at 8:36 a.m. of an Amish buggy stuck in the snow drifts. Seymour Township road workers responded to aid with the plowing. Upon arrival, personnel found the buggy had been removed.

• Richard H. Seiner, 49, Dodgeville, was cited for speeding at 4:51 p.m. on Wis. 23, Darlington Township.

• A deputy responded at 6:05 p.m. to a traffic complaint of an erratic driver on Wis. 81, Elk Grove Township. The vehicle was not located.

• A deputy responded to Wis. 81, Darlington Township, at 6:24 p.m. to remove a deer carcass from the roadway. The deer was hit by an unknown vehicle.

• A deputy assisted a motorist with unlocking a vehicle at 7:40 p.m. at a location on South Park Street, Belmont.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - George W. Norton, 59, rural Monticello, was arrested at 3:44 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 28. at a residence in the W7100 block of County C, Town of Washington. Norton was incarcerated at the Green County Jail for an alleged domestic abuse related disorderly conduct charge and on a probation hold.
