MONROE - On Monday, Jan. 21:

• A street sign for 8th Street was found discarded at 2:01 a.m. in Twining Park, 400 14th Ave., and turned over to the streets department.

• A box of .22 rifle cartridges was found at 11:32 a.m. in the 200 block of 4th Avenue.

• A stray cat was found in the 2600 block of Golf Vu Court at 11:42 a.m. and turned over to the Green County Humane Society.

• Police were called at 8:07 p.m. to a report of annoying phone calls. A woman in the 1900 block of 11th Avenue complained that a former friend was calling her. Police encouraged the former friend to stop calling.

• A downstairs tenant in an apartment building in the 2200 block of 1st Street called at 8:39 p.m. to complain about an upstairs tenant stomping around. Police warned the upstairs tenant about keeping noise levels down.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Kelly J. Hisel, 42, New Glarus, was arrested on a first-offense charge of driving while intoxicated and taken by New Glarus Area EMS to the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison for treatment of injuries she sustained in a rollover accident reported at 2:43 a.m. Monday, Jan. 21. Hisel was eastbound in the W4900 block of Airport Road in the Town of New Glarus when she lost control on a sharp curve. The vehicle went down an embankment and overturned, coming to rest on its roof. The vehicle was very severely damaged and towed. The New Glarus Police and Fire Departments assisted at the scene. Hisel was also cited for failure to keep the vehicle under control and released pending court.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Monday, Jan. 21:

• Denise L. Nagle, 50, Rosemont, Ill., was cited for speeding at 2:22 p.m. on Wis. 11 in the Town of Wayne.

• Debra S. Williams, 60, Brodhead, was cited for speeding at 5:51 p.m. on Wis. 11 in the Town of Gratiot.

• Telephone harassment was reported at 2:30 p.m. on Wis. 81 in the Town of Darlington.
