Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD - Glenn E. Olsen, 48, Downers Grove, Ill., was cited for speeding in the 800 block of 1st Street at 10:56 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17.

• A Brodhead juvenile male was cited for failure to stop for a school bus in the 2000 block of County GG at 3:17 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19.

• Jane A. Abing, 58, Brodhead, was cited for trespassing in the 2100 block of 1st Center Avenue at 9:35 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19.

• Mary C. Monson, 45, Gratiot, was cited for speeding in the 800 block of 1st Street at 3:09 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23.



Darlington Police

DARLINGTON - Reanna R. Parker, 31, Darlington, was cited for driving without a valid license at about 12:05 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, following a traffic stop on Catherine Street.

• Elias Garcia, 35, Lancaster, was cited for driving without a valid license at about 9:40 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, following a traffic stop on Galena Street.

• Travis Aide, 16, Darlington, was cited on Spring Street at about 12:50 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, for displaying unauthorized vehicle registration plates, non-registration of an auto and for driving without vehicle insurance.



Monroe Police

MONROE - Scott M. White, 27, Orangeville, was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated at 3:20 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, at 16th Avenue and 13th Street. He was released pending court.

• Lukas L. Notter, 24, Madison, was arrested on a second-offense charge of driving while intoxicated at 3:46 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 24, in the 800 block of 6th Street. He was also cited for driving with a suspended license and released pending court.

• Stanley E. Moffitt, 25, Monroe, was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop at 11:50 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, in the 1600 block of 15th Avenue. An officer smelled an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and called in the K-9 Unit. Police seized a pot pipe.

• Eggings were reported over the weekend in the area of 11th Street at 12th Avenue and twice in the 1600 block of 19th Street.

• A dog owner was warned for allowing the animals to run at large around an apartment building in the 200 block of 4th Avenue, after police responded to a neighbor's complaint at 9:55 a.m. Friday, Feb. 22.

• A metal object, possibly a brick template, was found in the 700 block of 4th Avenue West and brought to the station at 10:17 a.m. Friday, Feb. 22. To claim, call dispatch at 608-329-2400.

• A resident in the 1200 block of 21st Street reported at 12:45 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, that someone had broken into the garage sometime the day before.

• A hit-and-run was reported at 7:07 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, in the 1300 block of 2nd Street. The driver of a Ford F150 pickup truck lost control, hit a stop sign and then abandoned the vehicle in a residential yard. The pickup was impounded.

• In response to a complaint at 9:59 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, police warned a worker snowblowing a sidewalk in the 600 block of 19th Avenue not to blow the snow into the street.

• A friendly Golden Retriever/Labrador-mix dog was reported running loose in the 1800 block of 17th Avenue at 10:07 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 23. Officers captured it and turned it over to the Green County Humane Society.

• Unwanted phone calls and flowers from an ex-husband were reported by a woman in the 2600 block of Countryview Court at 5:10 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23. Police warned the ex-husband to stop.

• At 2:08 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24, a woman reported being assaulted by a male coworker at a restaurant in the 1700 block of 11th Street. He allegedly pushed her and touched her inappropriately a few days earlier.

• A woman in the 1600 block of 16th Street reported her estranged husband for disorderly behavior twice on Sunday, Feb. 24. At 2:59 p.m., she called to say he was pounding on her door and wouldn't leave. Police told him to go away. The ex returned about three and a half hours later and was reportedly tampering with the undercarriage of a vehicle parked at the home. He was gone by the time officers arrived. Police found no evidence of damage to the vehicle.

• A man and woman were warned for trespassing at the Swiss Wheel Rooming House, 1100 30th St., after police responded to a complaint from the manager at 10:19 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24.



New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS - Nicholas C. Nagel, 48, of Pennsylvania, was cited for disorderly conduct and taken to a detox facility after police investigated a 911 call at 10:36 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17, reporting a highly intoxicated person knocking on doors in the village. The unknown person left staggering before police arrived. Police later located Nagel and, after he tried to run away, took him into protective custody and called in Green County Area EMS for treatment of injuries he sustained prior to officers' arrival.

• Justin W. Young, 26, Argyle, was cited Tuesday, Feb. 19, for possession of drug paraphernalia and smoking in an enclosed space, as a result of an investigation into a report of crack pipes and heroin syringes found in a public establishment within the village on Feb. 15.

• Chad McGowen, 32, Hollandale, was cited for an expired vehicle registration and carrying no proof of vehicle registration at 6:33 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, following a traffic stop on 6th Avenue at 2nd Street.

• Mulka H. Shmerler, 21, Verona, was cited for speeding in the 1300 block of Wisconsin 69 at 9:12 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21.

• A student at New Glarus High School was cited for truancy after police responded to the school at 11:50 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, for a report that the student missed several days of classes.

• Two students at New Glarus High School reported at 1:23 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, that money was taken from their gym lockers the previous day.

• Officers assisted the Monticello Police Department at 11:04 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, with a report of three people playing with airsoft guns on school property.

• Police were dispatched at 2:58 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, to an argument between a mother and daughter . The parties were separated.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Jodi Nicole Walters, 29, Brodhead, was arrested on two warrants issued by the Brodhead Police Department for worthless checks, after deputies located a disabled vehicle on West Lake Avenue at Wis. 69 in Monticello at 4:24 a.m. Friday, Feb. 22. She was taken to the jail and later released after posting a cash bond.
