Monroe Police

MONROE - On Thursday, Feb. 21:

- At 1:09 p.m., a briefcase on rollers was reported lost near 6th Street and 1st Avenue. If found, call dispatch at (608) 329-2400.

- At 4:26 p.m., a mother reported her 11-year-old daughter fell on some ice on a residential sidewalk in the 2200 block of 14th Street. The homeowner was warned to put down some salt, sand or ashes.

- At 8:05 p.m., a mother in the 1300 block of 16th Avenue reported her middle school-aged son was being harassed and called names by two other boys. Police contacted the boys and warned them to behave.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Emily A. Skattum, 29, Monroe, was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence of a drug or drugs after deputies responded to a complaint of a vehicle traveling all over the road and in the opposite lane on Wisconsin 11 near County OK in the Town of Spring Grove at 3:51 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21. Skattum was also cited for driving left of center and with a suspended license. She was released to a responsible person pending court.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Thursday, Feb. 21:

- Daniel C. Minogue, 53, Blanchardville, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct at 9:20 p.m. following an investigation into an incident at a residence on Meadow Street in Blanchardville. He was jailed.

- Nathan R. Downs, 21, Rewey, was arrested by Grant County deputies on a warrant for failure to appear in court and transported to the Lafayette County Jail at 12:47 p.m. He remains jailed.

- Matthew D. Bohlken, 34, Platteville, was cited for improperly parking on the road after a deputy responded to a complaint of a disabled vehicle on Mitchell Hollow Road in the Town of Belmont at 3:24 a.m. The vehicle was in the road, abandoned. It was towed.

- Timothy J. Williams, 28, Monroe, was injured and taken to Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County by Rural Medical Ambulance and cited for a seatbelt violation following a one-vehicle accident reported at 3:02 p.m. Williams was westbound on County F when he lost control. The 1997 Ford Explorer he was driving went into the right ditch, hit a fence, continued into a private yard and hit a tree. The Darlington Fire Department assisted at the scene. The Ford Explorer was extensively damaged and towed.

- A deputy responded to a complaint at 4:43 p.m. of a southbound vehicle on County E in the Town of Darlington being driven in a reckless manner. A second complaint came of the vehicle failing to stop at the intersection with Wis. 11. The vehicle was found abandoned a short time later at the intersection of Summit Road and County A. It was towed. The incident remains under investigation to identify the driver.

- The theft of a wood-splitter was reported at 5:44 p.m. on Furnace Hill Road in the Town of Willow Springs.
