A stop sign at Clarno Road and 30th Street was discovered knocked down at 3:52 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9. The vehicle tracks leading up to the sign gave indication it was possibly an act of vandalism. A temporary stop sign was installed.
A 24-year-old Galena man incapacitated by alcohol was turned over to a family member after police responded to a complaint at 8:51 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, that he was visiting a patient at Monroe Clinic, 515 22nd Ave.
The theft of a debit card was reported by a resident in the 200 block of West 23rd Street at 9:21 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9. Police are investigating leads.
An 25-year-old Argyle woman incapacitated by alcohol was turned over to a family member after police assisted with an EMS call at Friendly Inn, 1335 17th St., at 10:52 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9. People with her reported she fell and lost consciousness in the bar. She regained consciousness by the time medics and officers arrived.
A resident in an apartment complex at 314 2nd St. called police at 9:10 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, to report a group of people were being noisy and causing a disturbance in the hallway of the building. By the time officers arrived, the group had gone into an apartment and weren't answering the door.
Thomas J. Ambrose, 44, Monroe, was arrested in the 1700 block of 30th Avenue at 8:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 11, on an apprehension warrant for a probation violation. The arrest was made at the request of his probation and parole agent. He was jailed.
Joshua T. Leopold, 33, Monroe, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct after police responded to calls from a neighbor and a family member reporting a domestic dispute in an apartment in the 300 block of 2nd Street at about 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 11. The dispute was between Leopold and his 26-year-old wife. The case was referred to the district attorney for possible charges against her as well. Leopold was released pending a mandatory court appearance.
An unwanted male was reported at a residence in the 1800 block of 7th Street at 2:23 a.m. Monday, Feb. 11. He and his estranged wife had been arguing elsewhere when she left to go to the residence and he followed her. No one was charged.
Charges are pending against a resident in the 1000 block of 17th Street for allowing two dogs to run loose after a neighbor reported the animals were running around at 7:49 a.m. Monday, Feb. 11.
Police were called to Monroe High School at 9:05 a.m. Monday, Feb. 11, to investigate a truancy report.
An employee at Monroe Clinic, 515 22nd Ave., reported at 5:09 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, that her purse and its contents had been stolen out of her car the week before while it was parked in the Clinic's parking lot, and a debit card in the purse was used at a local business.
A 16-year-old living in a group home in the 1700 block of 15th Street was turned over to Dane County authorities after a staff member at the group home called police at 6:26 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, to report the girl was out of control.

NEW GLARUS - Kristine A. Pryor, 39, Blanchardville, was cited for driving with a suspended license (fourth offense) at 3:37 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, on Railroad Street at 4th Avenue.
Green County Sheriff
MONROE - Shaun P. Curran, 33, Browntown, will be issued multiple citations related to a crash in the W7600 block of Wis. 39 in the Town of York, discovered by Dane County deputies and reported to the Green County Sheriff's Department at 11:22 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9. Curran was westbound negotiating a curve when he lost control on the snow-covered road and entered the north shoulder. He hit a mailbox and his truck became stuck in the snow. He fled the scene. The truck sustained minor damage and was towed. Curran is cited for obstructing police, driving without vehicle insurance, driving too fast for conditions and failing to notify police of an accident
Robert W. Huber, 21, Monroe, was cited for failing to notify police of an accident and driving too fast for conditions after deputies discovered an abandoned Chevy truck on its passenger side in the W8100 block of Wis. 81 in the Town of Jordan at 2:58 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 10. Deputies determined the truck had been eastbound when it entered the south shoulder, overcorrected and then veered into the north ditch and overturned. Huber later reported minor scratches and cuts from the crash. He told deputies he did not seek medical attention and he was alone in the truck at the time of the crash. The truck was severely damaged and towed.
David A. Scofield, Jr., 24, Brodhead, was cited for driving with a suspended license on 1st Center Street at 5th Street in Brodhead at 4:45 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11.

Klassy, 30, Monroe, was cited for driving without vehicle insurance after workers with the Green County Highway Department came across an abandoned Chevy SUV on Wis. 11 at Richland Road at 5:53 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 10. The vehicle had been eastbound when the driver lost control on the ice-covered road, spun around and hit a Do Not Enter sign. Klassy later told deputies she tapped the brakes and lost control on the ice. She and her passenger were uninjured.
Kennedy J. Dammen, 19, Monroe, was cited for driving with a suspended license on 8th Street at 6th Avenue West in Monroe at 10:04 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11.

DARLINGTON - John R. Emery, 61, Argyle, was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated after a deputy responded at 3:13 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, to a complaint of a vehicle parked in a driveway on Kipfer Lane in the Town of Argyle.
Justin R. Holmes, 18, Blanchardville, was cited for violating absolute sobriety laws by driving under the influence of alcohol after a deputy responded to a one-vehicle accident on Old Q Road in the Town of Argyle at 8:21 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8. Holmes was southbound when he lost control and veered into a ditch. He was also cited for failure to have control and failure to fasten his seatbelt. The vehicle was towed. Argyle police assisted at the scene.
Devin R. Foley, 18, Galena, was cited for transporting alcohol as a minor following a traffic stop in the Town of White Oak Springs at 11:36 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8. Cited for underage drinking were passengers Dakota J. Harris and Kirk J. Brodrecht, both 18 and of Galena.
At 2:38 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, a deputy responded to Wis. 11 in Benton for a car horn going off. He was able to get the horn to stop going off.
A deputy took a report at 7:55 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, of disorderly conduct that occurred on East Center Street in South Wayne.
Dogs running at large were reported on Kennedy Street in Shullsburg at 2:22 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10.
