ALBANY POLICE

ALBANY - Paul W. Skolaski, 57, Albany, was arrested Sunday for battery and domestic disorderly conduct.



BRODHEAD POLICE

BRODHEAD - For the week of Nov. 29 to Dec. 5 there were 119 calls for service, 38 citizen assists, 17 registrations, 11 security checks, 11 EMS calls, eight assists of other agencies, eight 911 calls, four traffic stops and two fire calls.

On Nov. 29:

• A case of harassment was reported at 5:03 p.m. in the 800 block of 12th Street after an individual received unwanted picture messages. Police contacted the sender and the matter was resolved.

• A 22-year-old Browntown man was cited at 10:04 p.m. for criminal damage to property and disturbance of the peace with a vehicle after police responded to a vehicle driving in the open lot in the 500 block of 19th Street.

On Nov. 30, a gas drive-off was reported at 6:13 p.m. in the 2400 block of 1st Center Avenue. The driver returned to pay after learning of the oversight.

On Thursday:

• A noise ordinance violation was reported at 1:28 p.m. in the 1400 block of East 2nd Avenue. A warning was issued to the offender.

• A vehicle theft was reported at 6:19 p.m. in the 600 block of 1st Center Avenue. The incident was found to be a civil matter and no further police action was taken.

On Friday, disorderly conduct was reported at 8:34 a.m. in the 1400 block of 21st Street. A student was issued a warning regarding a comment made to a teacher.

On Saturday, four citations for winter parking were issued.



MONROE POLICE

MONROE - On Saturday:

• Eric J. Gruber, 48, Monroe, was arrested at 2 a.m. in the 1300 block of 17th Street for bail jumping. Gruber was jailed.

• Pamela A. Wyss, 48, Monroe, was arrested at 11:16 p.m. in the 400 block of 4th Avenue on a probation and parole warrant. Wyss was jailed.



NEW GLARUS POLICE

NEW GLARUS - On Nov. 30:

• A theft was reported at 11:07 a.m. near Industrial Avenue. The matter remains under investigation.

• Suspicious activity was reported at 7:03 p.m. in the 200 block of Industrial Drive. Upon investigation, it was found that an employee was working late and had left the business' door open.

• Police delivered an emergency message at 9:38 p.m. to an employee at a business in the 200 block of Industrial Drive.

On Dec. 1, police issued approximately 15 alternate-side parking warnings throughout the village.

On Wednesday:

• Michael L. Ballweg, 25, New Glarus, was cited at 11:25 a.m. on 1st Street for driving with a suspended vehicle registration.

• A juvenile was cited at 2:15 p.m. for possession of tobacco at New Glarus High School.

• Suspicious activity was reported at 10:18 p.m. near Heidi Court. Nobody and no signs of activity were found in the area.

On Thursday, police issued several parking citations for vehicles parked in no parking zones in the 1400 and 1500 blocks of 2nd Street and in Veterans Park.

On Friday:

• Police investigated an abandoned vehicle at 10:18 a.m. in the parking lot of Veterans Memorial Park. The owner was contacted and advised to move the vehicle.

• Police checked an individual's welfare at 11:57 a.m. after a request from a concerned citizen. The individual in question was found to be fine.

• Police responded at 3:57 p.m. to a child custody issue in the 400 block of 2nd Street. The matter was resolved.

• A suspicious vehicle was reported at 4:05 p.m. in the parking lot of the Department of Natural Resources Field Office.

• A citizen reported smelling natural gas at 5:15 p.m. in the 300 block of 2nd Street. The smell was found to come from a neighbor's dryer vent.

• A citizen reported receiving suspicious text messages at 7 p.m. The messages were found to be meant for another recipient.

On Saturday:

• Police investigated a suspicious vehicle at 7:28 p.m. on 6th Avenue. It was found the driver had parked there while a passenger retrieved items from a nearby residence.

• Patrick J. Lacey, 31, Fitchburg, was cited at 9:43 p.m. for speeding in the 1400 block of Wisconsin 69.

• Suspicious activity was reported at 10:18 p.m. at a business in the 1400 block of 2nd Street. The owner was found doing paperwork inside and nothing was out of the ordinary.

• A suspicious vehicle was reported at 11:37 p.m. in the parking lot of a business in the 1400 block of Wis. 69.

On Sunday:

• Police issued approximately 15 alternate-side parking warnings.

• Police assisted JBM Security at 4:43 p.m. at a business on Cow Path Lane.

• Police assisted the Green County Sheriff at 7:26 p.m. with a traffic stop.



GREEN COUNTY SHERIFF

MONROE - On Friday:

• Coltyn L. Gage, 20, Albany, was arrested at 5:37 p.m. in the 500 block of South Mechanic Street in Albany on a warrant for failure to pay child support. Gage was jailed.

• Hunter R. M. Goebel, 19, Blanchardville, was cited at 8:43 p.m. in the W7500 block of Wis. 81, Town of Jordan, for driving without a valid license.

On Sunday, Richard Dean Thomas, 31, Brodhead, was arrested at 9:44 a.m. for bail jumping and possession of drug paraphernalia. Thomas was jailed.



LAFAYETTE COUNTY SHERIFF

DARLINGTON - On Friday:

• Jacob A. Riley, 19, Argyle, was cited at 1:01 a.m. on North Lafayette Street in Argyle for driving with a suspended license and unnecessary acceleration.

• An injured animal in the roadway was reported at 8:25 a.m. on Wis. 78, Town of Blanchard.

• A 911 hang-up occurred at 6:08 p.m. on Teasdale Road, Town of White Oak Springs.

• Connie S. Glowacki, 52, Oregon, Ill., was cited at 7:26 p.m. for speeding on Wis. 11, Town of Shullsburg.

On Saturday:

• Deputies assisted the Iowa County Sheriff at 1:36 a.m. on Dawn Vista Drive in Belmont.

• An injured animal on the roadway was reported at 6:08 a.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Elk Grove.

• An injured animal on the roadway was reported at 9:47 a.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Darlington.

• A 911 hang-up occurred at 11:08 a.m. on Spruce Street in Argyle.

• Dawn M. Ditzenberger, 54, Browntown, was cited at 11:35 a.m. for a dog running at large after her dog was reported loose on Mayer Road, Town of Wayne.

• A deputy assisted Argyle Police at 1:05 p.m. on South Street in Argyle.

• A suspicious person was reported at 1:35 p.m. on County S, Town of Willow Springs.

• A theft was reported at 1:37 p.m. on South Kennedy Street in Shullsburg.

• A foreign substance on the roadway was reported at 2:45 p.m. on County G, Town of Kendall.

• Suspicious activity was reported at 2:49 p.m. on Stub Lane, Town of Darlington.

• A traffic complaint was made at 4:31 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of New Diggings.

• An injured animal on the roadway was reported at 5:15 p.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Darlington.

• A deputy responded at 5:56 p.m. to a civil dispute on Van Buren Street in Benton.

• A deputy assisted Darlington Police at 6:15 p.m. with traffic control at the intersection of Main Street and Cornelia Street in Darlington.

• A traffic complaint was made at 7:29 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Wayne.

• A deputy checked an individual's welfare at 8:25 p.m. on North Park Street in Belmont.

On Sunday:

• Livestock on the roadway was reported at 8:28 a.m. on County U, Town of Seymour.

• A citizen reported receiving threats of injury at 11:19 a.m. on Spore Road, Town of Argyle.

• Livestock on the roadway was reported at 12:41 p.m. on County G, Town of Belmont.

• A domestic dispute was reported at 1:38 p.m. on Railroad Avenue in Benton.

• Livestock on the roadway was reported at 2:38 p.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Darlington.

• Larry L. Smith, 64, Stockton, Ill., was cited at 3:28 p.m. for failure to stop at a stop sign on County D, Town of Wayne.

• An erratic driver was reported at 4:50 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Shullsburg.

• A traffic complaint was reported at 6:54 p.m. on County XX, Town of Belmont.

• A deputy assisted Darlington Police at 10:23 p.m. on Ohio Street in Darlington.
